The Rolling Museum Munich (Munich Rolling Museum)
The association was originally founded in 2009 under the name "Classics for Charity" and remains a non-profit organization with around 80 members dedicated to preserving automotive heritage.
The association also aims to create memories and connect people through shared experiences. Charitable projects include outings for seniors in collaboration with Lichtblick Seniorenhilfe e.V. and picnics with vintage cars for nursing home residents. A special annual highlight is participation in the Long Night of Munich Museums, organized by Münchner Kultur GmbH.
A journey through time on four wheels
Over 100 vintage cars will be on the road for guests during the Long Night of Munich Museums. They connect the Deutsches Museum Verkehrszentrum (German Museum Transport Center) and the Deutsches Museum on a unique journey through time. During the rides, the owners share their passion and stories with guests.
Christian Bernreiter, Bavarian State Minister for Housing, Building and Transport, also acknowledged the commitment:
"The Rolling Museum is a wonderful example of the contribution that dedicated organizations make to Munich's cultural landscape. Traffic is more than just transportation—it fosters community. When this happens with vintage vehicles, which are themselves cultural assets, evoke nostalgia, and provide a topic of conversation, then this goal is achieved in several ways: mobility becomes an experience, history comes alive, and culture is accessible to everyone."
