Munich. On Saturday, October 18th, Munich residents will be on a museum tour. From 6 p.m. to 1 a.m., more than 100 museums, galleries, and cultural venues will open their doors, offering a wonderful journey through the art of the centuries, our eventful history, progress through science, and a host of interactive experiences. The highlight for vintage car enthusiasts is the Rolling Museum, a rolling open-air museum with around 100 vintage cars, which will travel through the city between the Deutsches Museum and the Deutsches Museum Verkehrszentrum, setting the mood for a nostalgic journey through time. A creative children's program will be offered from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and the varied evening program begins at 6 p.m. It will be a night of discovery: all program details are now available online at www.muenchner.de/museumsnacht. Shuttle buses operated by the Munich Transport Company will connect the venues, which can be reached with a ticket for all venues (admission to all museums and the shuttle combined cost €20 - see below).

In the city, the history between the Deutsches Museum and the Deutsches Museum Verkehrszentrum (German Museum Transport Center) comes to life on wheels with over 100 vintage vehicles.
The Rolling Museum transforms around 100 vintage vehicles into a rolling open-air museum and takes guests on nostalgic journeys through time between the Deutsches Museum and the Deutsches Museum Verkehrszentrum (German Museum Transport Center), while the owners share their passion and stories.

Museum of Five Continents - Exhibitions are open during the Long Night.
For example, the Museum of Five Continents features three special exhibitions:- Merci Maman. Street photography in Mali, From inferno to symbol of peace.
- 80 years of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
- and, most recently, He Toi Ora. Soulful Māori art. Following the trail of the carvings in the Museum of Five Continents.
Simply stroll through the building on Maximilianstrasse or take a short curatorial tour. African short films are shown in the lecture hall, and the foyer is a cozy place with atmospheric lighting and beats from the DJ booth, offering culinary specialties from Japan.
At the Bavarian National Museum
At Prinzregentenstrasse 3 in Munich, the historic rooms, collections, and interactive stations invite you to explore court life during the Rococo period.

Art & Interactivity at the Museum Villa Stuck
At the Museum Villa Stuck - Prinzregentenstraße 60, 81675 Munich - the historic rooms and the expanded artist's garden shine in new splendor.

Science & Technology - at the Deutsches Museum, the European Patent Office, and the Alpine Museum
The Deutsches Museum, which celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2025, combines chamber concerts, science shows, the special exhibition "Light and Matter," as well as guided tours and workshops into a hands-on technology and science program. Crelux – a WuXi AppTec Company also provides exciting insights into early drug development.
At the European Patent Office, visitors can take a skyscraper tour, explore the art collection, or visit the "Cosmic Bar."
The Alpine Museum, which is participating in the Long Night for the first time since its reopening, offers guided tours, future workshops, reading experiences, and culinary surprises.
