Wolfsburg. Under the motto "Try contemplation," Autostadt in Wolfsburg invites you to its annual winter staging from November 28, 2025, to January 4, 2026. This year's Winter World marks the festive conclusion of the anniversary year – 25 years of Autostadt – and transforms the grounds into an enchanting world of experience for the whole family. There's ice skating on 4,000 square meters, a winter market, a snow world, a carousel, and the popular chain flyer. New this year: A special highlight is the newly opened Christmas department store with select gift ideas. Other highlights include show training by the Grizzlys Wolfsburg and creative winter workshops for children and families... everyone will find a world of experience here, as there's also the Porsche Pavilion and automotive history. Atmospheric Winter Magic
at the Autostadt in Wolfsburg
"With great attention to detail,
we are once again creating a winter wonderland this year that invites visitors to marvel, pause, and experience things together," says Armin Maus, Chairman of the Management Board of the Autostadt. "Especially during the winter season, we want to create a place where contemplation and valuable time together are the focus. At the same time, this year's winter event represents the atmospheric conclusion to our anniversary year. A festive highlight that we would like to celebrate together with our guests."
Visitors can look forward to a diverse range of activities that guarantee special moments for the whole family:
Ice skating on the spacious ice rink with an evening ice disco, a 1,100-square-meter snow world for children, and the new Christmas department store designed in the style of a historic half-timbered barn.
Numerous winter stalls with culinary delicacies and nostalgic classics like the children's carousel create a festive atmosphere.
Visitors can look forward to a diverse range of activities that guarantee special moments for the whole family:

A special highlight this year is the newly opened Christmas department store. In a charming half-timbered building near the Porsche Pavilion, visitors will find 80 square meters of lovingly selected Christmas items, such as original Christmas tree baubles and festive decorations. Directly opposite, the newly installed curling rink invites visitors to socialize and offers a beautiful view of the winter hustle and bustle.
At the winter market's stalls, visitors can discover lovingly crafted handicrafts and small gift ideas.
Numerous stalls offer winter delicacies, from Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancakes) and waffles to Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) and spit roast.
Adventure Worlds on Ice and Snow
The heart of the Winter World is the 4,000-square-meter ice rink, where guests can skate daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Those without their own skates can rent a pair on-site for €5. As dusk falls, the ice rink transforms into a popular ice disco from Sunday to Thursday, featuring an atmospheric mix of music from the 1970s to the present day.
The 1,100-square-meter snow world is a paradise for romping and dreaming for the youngest guests
Children between the ages of four and twelve can sledding and build snowmen. The historic carousel in front of the customer service center for children aged three to ten exudes a nostalgic flair. The chain flyer in the piazza forecourt provides airy moments for children aged six and up.
Special Event Highlights
On December 2nd, the ice hockey stars of the Grizzlys Wolfsburg will show off their skills during a show training session on the ice.
The Young TV Crew will be participating for the first time:
The young reporters will be on-site as part of the new cooperation between Autostadt and the Grizzlys and will report directly from the action.
The winter program will be complemented by creative educational workshops for children ages six and up, teenagers, and parent-child teams:
From November 23rd, 2025, to January 5th, 2026, Autostadt invites you to participate in everything from Christmas baking and decorating ideas to exciting technology projects such as laser cutting or building electric model cars. Embedded in the festive winter wonderland, the workshops will be a special family experience that combines learning, creativity, and time together.
- A valid Autostadt admission ticket is required to visit the Winter Magic!
Adjusted opening hours for the theme park apply during the event:
- From November 28, 2025, to January 4, 2026, the Autostadt pavilions will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- On Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve (December 24 and 31, 2025, respectively), the Winter World and the entire Autostadt will be closed.
Opening Hours (weather dependent)
- Ice Rink: Mon. to Sun. 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Snow World: 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Winter Market Stalls: Mon. to Fri. 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., Sat. and Sun. from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Ice Disco: Sun. to Thurs. 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (No ice disco on December 25th)
