Tip: Public ice skating at the SAP Garden in the Olympic Park from August 2025 to April 2026
During the summer holidays and while on vacation in Bavaria, you can go ice skating in Munich – the SAP Garden in Munich offers ice rinks for stick skating, ice dancing, figure skating, or free skating.
From August 2025 to April 2026, public ice skating will be available daily at the SAP Garden (Toni-Merkens-Weg, 80809 Munich) (English, Deutsch, Français, Italiano)
Munich. During the summer holidays and while on vacation in Bavaria, you can go public ice skating on three ice rinks in Munich from August 2025 to April 2026. Skates can be rented, and tickets are also available online. The SAP Garden is a multifunctional arena for ice hockey, basketball, and public ice skating in Munich's Olympic Park. Visitors can enjoy ice skating, stick skating, ice dancing, figure skating, or free skating on three ice rinks. At the end of September 2024, the SAP Garden in Munich's Olympic Park received a state-of-the-art sports arena for ice hockey and basketball. The multifunctional venue has a total capacity of 11,500 spectators. It is home to two professional clubs: the DEL ice hockey club EHC Red Bull Munich and the basketball team of FC Bayern Munich. The arena hosts their home games. Several matches of the 2027 Handball World Championship will be held here.

Ice Disco - also in summer, every Saturday
Visitors can enjoy three ice rinks for ice skating, as well as free skating, ice dancing, figure skating, or even free skating:
- "Hall 1" - with a grandstand and capacity for up to 500 spectators
- A fine location for small to medium-sized ice sports events
- The number of visitors (ice skaters) is limited per rink!
- Reserve tickets in advance.
Admission for public ice skating
- Adults: €9.50
- Adult concession: €8
- Children 0-3 years: free
- Children 4-12 years: €4.50
- Youth 13-17 years: €6.50
- Multi-person ticket: €15
- Visitor ticket: €2
- All ice sports such as free skating, figure skating, or ice dancing

Tickets are available online.
- Time slots from 90 to 135 minutes.
- Entrance to the arena is 15 minutes prior.
- Tickets are available every Friday from 2:00 PM in the online shop for the following week.
