August 22, 2025, in Cologne: The winners of the "gamescom awards" have been announced! Resident Evil Requiem sweeps four categories, Ubisoft and The Pokémon Company were honored for the best booths, the trailer for Hollow Knight "Silksong" impressed fans, and the gamescom artist area was honored with the HEART OF GAMING Award
On Friday, August 22, the coveted trophies in a total of 19 categories were presented at the gamescom studio powered by IGN (ENGLISH, DEUTSCH)
Cologne. The Heart of Gaming, August 20-24, 2025, in Cologne – Europe's leading trade fair for digital gaming culture. The gamescom awards: The jury and audience agreed and selected the winners of the 2025 gamescom awards in all categories. The winners were announced live on August 22, 2025, at the gamescom studio in Hall 7 and via livestream: The big winner of gamescom 2025 is Resident Evil Requiem. The horror survival game from Capcom Entertainment was honored for Best Visuals, Best Audio, Most Epic, and Best Sony PlayStation Game. Along with fellow titles Pragmata and Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Capcom Entertainment also secured the trophy for Best Lineup at gamescom 2025. Gamescom announced the winners to the press – we list them below.

Ubisoft also has several reasons to celebrate:
For Anno 117: Pax Romana, the company received the award for Best PC Game and the Jury Prize for Best Booth.
Ubisoft's trade fair presence in the business area also impressed the jury with the Best Business Booth award.
The Pokémon booth in the entertainment area was particularly popular with visitors and therefore received a Gamescom award.
Best Trailer Award
The trailer for Hollow Knight: Silksong thrilled the community and won the Best Trailer award.
The indie title Tiny Bookshop won the Games for Impact category with its positive message about building and nurturing a community of reading enthusiasts.
With the double win of Most Entertaining and Most Wholesome, Hela proves how entertaining cozy games can be.
The HEART OF GAMING Award
The HEART OF GAMING Award, the special jury prize, went to the gamescom artist area this year.Here, artists exhibit their games-inspired works and share their art with the numerous fans of games culture. This recognizes the outstanding contribution of Artist Alleys to direct exchange with and support of independent creatives.
