The 41st Munich Film Festival is taking over the cultural city of Munich with its events today

Saturday, June 29th the big opening gala at Gasteig HP8

MUNICH. June 28th to July 7th, 2024 - For its 41st edition this summer, FILMFEST MUNICH has expanded its cultural network of long-standing collaborations to include new partnerships with theaters, clubs and subculture centers. This year the CineCoPro Conference will focus on Canada as the guest country. FILMFEST MUNICH shows a total of ten Canadian feature and documentary films.

A highlight of the 41st Munich Film Festival will be the awards ceremony on Saturday, July 6, 2024

 The FILMFEST MUNICH CineCoPro Conference 2024 is supported by FFF Bayern, Telefilm Canada, the Canadian Embassy in Berlin and Creative Europe Desk Munich.
The CineCoPro Award, worth 100,000 euros, is the highest prize for German co-producers of international co-productions. The prize money of 100,000 euros will be provided by FFF Bayern and distributed to the German co-producers of the winning film for the next co-production. The winning film is selected by a three-person, independent jury of experts.

The FILMFEST MUNICH finds many supporters in the Bavarian capital:

•     ARRI has been involved in FILMFEST MUNICH for 41 years and is an important technology partner and prize funder of the festival.
•     CAMPARI Germany is the official partner of the 41st FILMFEST MUNICH. The company is actively involved internationally in the world of film. At the 2024 film festival, filmmakers and guests meet at his bar.
•     The Hotel Bayerischer Hof has been providing hotel rooms and interview rooms for many years.
•     The FÜNF HÖFEdirectly at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof have been there for five years with the large facade poster, a selfie point film festival and the social media presence.
•     Hofbräu München has been a partner at FILMFEST MUNICH since 2021 and the main partner of the Beergarden Convention, an industry meeting at FILMFEST MUNICH. The world-famous Munich brewery passes on the original Munich attitude to life to guests of the film world with locations and Hofbräu beer.

•      The cultural department of the state capital of Munich supports the FILMFEST MUNICH at the big opening in the Gasteig HP8.

•     As a partner at the FILMFEST MUNICH at Marienplatz, “Ludwig Beck – Kaufhaus der Sinne” has decorated its shop windows on the first floor appropriately. The FilmTalk for the world premiere of "Call me Levi" will certainly be well attended on July 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in the Monaco Café on the 4th floor at Ludwig Beck as a matinee with coffee, pretzels and croissants.

Samstag, 29.6 die große Eröffnungsgala im Gasteig HP8 

MÜNCHEN. 28. Juni bis 7. Juli 2024 - Das FILMFEST MÜNCHEN hat für seine 41. Ausgabe in diesem Sommer sein kulturelles Netz der langjährigen Kooperationen um neue Partnerschaften mit Theaterhäusern, Clubs und Subkulturzentren erweitert. In diesem Jahr steht bei der CineCoPro Conference Kanada als Gastland im Fokus. Das FILMFEST MÜNCHEN zeigt insgesamt zehn kanadische Spiel- und Dokumentarfilme.

Ein Höhepunkt des 41. Filmfest München wird die Award-Ceremony am Samstag, den 6. Juli 2024 sein

 Die FILMFEST MÜNCHEN CineCoPro Conference 2024 wird unterstützt vom FFF Bayern, Telefilm Canada, der kanadischen Botschaft in Berlin und Creative Europe Desk München.
Der mit 100.000 Euro dotierte CineCoPro Award ist der höchstdotierte Preis für deutsche Koproduzent:innen internationaler Koproduktionen. Das Preisgeld in Höhe von 100.000 Euro wird vom FFF Bayern zur Verfügung gestellt und für die nächste Koproduktion an die deutschen Koproduzent:innen des Gewinnerfilms ausgeschüttet. Ausgewählt wird der Gewinnerfilm von einer dreiköpfigen, unabhängigen Fachjury.

Sunday, June 30, 2024: Cloud 8 - The big cultural summer festival on the grounds of the Gasteig HP8 - ENTRANCE: at the U3 subway - Brudermühlstrasse stop

 

Munich. A colorful festival with music, art, literature, dance and singing in the Gasteig - entrance directly at the Brudermühlstrasse stop (U3). All institutes in the Gasteig HP8 offer a look behind the scenes on Sunday with free admission. Under the motto "Cloud 8" you can explore the new Isarphilharmonie, mingle with the orchestra, paint clouds or learn to breakdance and much more. Who is there? The Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, the Munich City Library, the Munich Adult Education Center, the Munich University of Music and Theater, the Munich Chamber Orchestra and of course the organizer, Gasteig München GmbH. The workshops and concerts begin at 2:30 p.m. (list of times below) - entry is free all day.

Sonntag, 30. Juni 2024: Wolke 8 - Das große Kultur-Sommerfest auf dem Gelände des Gasteig HP8 - EINGANG: an der U-Bahn U3 - Haltestelle Brudermühlstrasse

 

München. Ein buntes Fest mit Musik, Kunst, Literatur, Tanz und Gesang im Gasteig - Eingang direkt an der Haltestelle Brudermühlstrasse (U3). Alle im Gasteig HP8 existierenden Institute geben am Sonntag bei freiem Eintritt den Blick hinter ihre Kulissen frei. Unter dem Motto "Wolke 8" kann man die neue Isarphilharmonie erkunden, sich unter das  Orchester mischen, Wolken malen oder Breakdance erlernen und vieles mehr. Wer ist dabei? Die Münchner Philharmoniker, die Münchner Stadtbibliothek, die Münchner Volkshochschule, die Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, das Münchener Kammerorchester und natürlich der Veranstalter, die Gasteig München GmbH. Um 14.30 Uhr beginnen die Workshops und Konzerte (Liste mit Uhrzeiten unten) - der Eintritt ist den ganzen Tag frei.

Summer and holiday program in the Autostadt: Live concerts by international stars and 19 workshops on the topics of creativity, design, technology, nature and crafts for all ages

Wolfsburg.  “Beats, Bands and Beach” in the Autostadt in Wolfsburg. Music fans will make a pilgrimage to the Autostadt until August 4th, when 28 national and international stars such as “Silbermond”, “Katie Melua”, “ZZ Top”, “Status Quo”, “James Blunt” or “Lena” and “Jan Delay” Rock the stages live. But summer offers even more in the north: last year, a great supporting program thrilled children, young people and their families with holiday workshops, climbing columns or the cooling “Cool Summer Island”, a floating beach club in the harbor basin. The Autostadt looks back on the visits of 42 million guests since it opened in 2000 and we are looking forward to a colorful summer..

At this year's summer festival, our guests can expect a total of 28 national and international music greats who will play live on our two stages. With our musical range, which is unique to the German festival landscape, we want to keep awakening our audience’s desire for new things and present musical gems outside the mainstream again this year.”

Olaf Katzer, head of the Autostadt’s education department: 

“This summer we are offering an extensive holiday program with our most popular educational offerings. This year, a total of 19 workshops on the topics of creativity, design, technology, nature and crafts will enable younger children, including together with their parents, to try out exciting things and discover their own talents. Learning fun is guaranteed.”

28 top international acts will be performed on two stages

The large lagoon stage with a view of the towers and the Porsche stage allows the well-known musicians to be experienced in an exclusive concert atmosphere. 

All performances on the lagoon stage start at 8 p.m. (doors: 6 p.m.), 

the live concerts on the Porsche stage start at 6 p.m

Each concert ticket allows entry to the Autostadt one hour before the concert begins.

Die große Lagunenbühne mit Blick auf die Türme und die Porsche-Bühne lassen die bekannten Musikerinnen und Musiker in exklusiver  Konzertatmosphäre erleben. 

• Alle Auftritte auf der Lagunenbühne starten um 20 Uhr (Einlass: 18 Uhr), 
• die Live-Konzerte auf der Porsche-Bühne beginnen um 18 Uhr
• jedes Konzertticket ermöglicht den Eingang in die Autostadt bereits eine Stunde vor Beginn des Konzerts.

From the painters of the Middle Ages to Andy Warhol - the museums of the Bavarian State Painting Collections show the range of art development in originals

Munich. Current exhibitions in the museums of the Bavarian State Painting Collections: The Alte Pinakothek is currently re-presenting its collection, but not only that, from July 9th Brueghel and Rubens and the famous Flower Wreath Madonna will be the focus of the viewer. A guest of the Alte Pinakothek are the works of art from Goya to Manet, which are presented in the Neue Pinakothek, which is currently closed due to major renovation work. The Pinakothek der Moderne is just a stone's throw away and in return shows works of modern art and works of art from the Munich State Graphic Collection. Since its opening, the beautiful Brandhorst Museum has been a temple to art since 1945: exhibitions with works of art by Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Alex Katz and Cy Twombly provide an overview and insight into the museum's new acquisitions. And then there is the 19th century, whose artists were very important to the founder, Count Adolf Friedrich von Schack. The Munich Schack Collection invites you to a top meeting with painters of the 19th century on Prinzregentenstrasse.

Brandhorst Museum

The Brandhorst Museum in the art area in Maxvorstadt in Munich is the home of Udo and Anette Brandhorst's collection. The building is directly adjacent to the Pinakothek der Moderne.  The Bavarian State Painting Collections manage the Brandhorst Collection with over 700 works of art, for which this building was built. The donors' collection has focused on art since 1945. The Free State of Bavaria took the museum into public hands and assumed operating and personnel costs. In return, the Udo and Anette Brandhorst Foundation contributes its art collection and the foundation capital of 120 million euros. A stroke of luck for the respective director, who can use the foundation's funds to purchase 2 million works of art every year.

Schack Collection            

The Schack Collection shows a collection of paintings by well-known painters of the 19th century, which was very important to the donor Count Adolf Friedrich von Schack and is now part of the Bavarian State Painting Collections. It contains 267 works of art by German painters from the period between 1840 and 1880 and which were purchased specifically for this collection by Count Schack in the 1860s and 1870s: These are originals by Arnold Böcklin, Moritz von Schwind, Franz von Lenbach, Carl Spitzweg, Carl Rottmann , Anselm Feuerbach, Eduard Gerhardt and other well-known German landscape and historical painters.

Von den Malern des Mittelalters bis zu Andy Warhol - die Museen der Bayerischen Staatsgemäldesammlungen zeigen die Bandbreite der Kunstentwicklung in Originalen

München. Aktuelle Ausstellungen in den Museen der Bayerischen Staatsgemäldesammlungen: Die Alte Pinakothek präsentiert zurzeit ihre Sammlung neu, aber nicht nur das, ab dem 9. Juli werden Brueghel und Rubens und die berühmte Blumenkranzmadonna im Zentrum der Betrachter stehen. Ein Gast der Alten Pinakothek sind weiterhin die Kunstwerke von Goya bis Manet, welche die Neue Pinakothek präsentieren, die zurzeit wegen großer Umbau-Arbeiten geschlossen ist. Die Pinakothek der Moderne findet sich nur einen Steinwurf entfernt und zeigt im Gegenzug Werke  Moderne Kunst und Kunstwerke aus Staatlichen Graphischen Sammlung München. Das schöne Museum Brandhorst ist seit seiner Eröffnung ein Tempel für die Kunst seit 1945: Ausstellungen mit Kunstwerken von Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Alex Katz und Cy Twombly geben hier einen Überblick und Einblick in die Neuankäufe des Museums. Und dann ist da noch das 19. Jahrhundert, deren Künstler dem Stifter Graf Adolf Friedrich von Schack sehr wichtig waren. Zu einem Spitzentreffen mit Malern des 19. Jahrhunderts lädt die Münchner Sammlung Schack in der Prinzregentenstrasse ein.

Museum Brandhorst

Das Museum Brandhorst im Kunstareal in der Maxvorstadt in München ist das Haus der Sammlung von Udo und Anette Brandhorst. Das Gebäude schließe unmittelbar an die Pinakothek der Moderne an.  Die Bayerischen Staatsgemäldesammlungen verwalten die Sammlung Brandhorst mit über 700 Kunstwerken, wofür dieses Gebäude gebaut wurde. Sammlungsschwerpunkt der Stifter war die Kunst seit 1945. Der Freistaat Bayern nahm das Museum in die öffentliche Hand und übernahm Betriebs- und Personalkosten. Im Gegenzug bringt die Udo und Anette Brandhorst Stiftung ihre Kunstsammlung und das Stiftungskapital von 120 Millionen Euro ein. Ein Glückfall für den jeweiligen Direktor der aus den Stiftungsgeldern jährlich für 2 Millionen Kunstwerke hinzukaufen kann.

Sammlung Schack            

Die Sammlung Schack zeigt eine Gemäldesammlung bekannter Maler des 19. Jahrhunderts, die dem Stifter Graf Adolf Friedrich von Schack sehr wichtig war und heute zum Bestand der  Bayerischen Staatsgemäldesammlungen gehört. Sie beinhaltet 267 Kunstwerke deutscher Maler der Zeit zwischen 1840 und 1880 und von Graf Schack in den 1860er und 1870er Jahren eigens für diese Sammlung angekauft wurden: Es sind dies Originale von Arnold Böcklin, Moritz von Schwind, Franz von Lenbach, Carl Spitzweg, Carl Rottmann, Anselm Feuerbach, Eduard Gerhardt und anderer bekannter  deutscher Landschafts- und Historienmaler.

Chaque jour du football à Munich, la ville est en fête sur dix lieux et places du centre-ville avec des activités auxquelles participer et des concerts gratuits en plein air. Il y a des musiciens de rue et des groupes locaux qui jouent, des spectacles de danse et de freestyle, des artistes de tricks avec des vélos BMX et des magiciens. Mardi, par exemple, la Königsplatz sera illuminée aux couleurs des équipes du Danemark et de Serbie, qui joueront à partir de 21 heures dans la Munich Football Arena. Vérifiez-le! There are street musicians and local bands playing, there are dance performances and freestyle, trick artists with BMX bikes and magicians. On Tuesday, for example, Königsplatz will be illuminated with the colors of the teams from Denmark and Serbia, which will play in the Munich Football Arena from 9 p.m. Check it out! München. In München ist immer was los! Feiert mit! An jedem Fußballtag in München feiert die Stadt an zehn Orten und Plätzen der Innenstadt mit Aktivitäten zum mitmachen und kostenfreien Freiluftbühnen-Konzerten. Es spielen Straßenmusikanten und lokale Bands, es gibt Tanzperformances und Freestyle, Trickkünstler mit BMX-Rad und Zauberer. Am Dienstag wird zum Beispiel der Königsplatz mit den Farben der Teams aus Dänemark und Serbien bestrahlt, die ab 21 Uhr in der Münchner Fußball Arena spielen. Schaut vorbei! For 50 years, the Golf has been more than just a car: it has been a reliable companion, a symbol of freedom and the supporting pillar of so many valuable memories

 

To date, a total of 35 million vehicles have been delivered in its eight generations of Golf - We are also looking forward to the GTI Fanfest in Wolfsburg from July 26th to 28th, 2024 (see below)

Wolfsburg.  The Golf I is now a classic car! To mark the anniversary, the #ZeitHaus of the Autostadt in Wolfsburg is showing the first namesake of an entire vehicle class. In 1974, the automotive world got a car that became a symbol of German engineering. To this day, the success story of the GOLF model, which now has 8 variants on the roads, shapes the lives of its enthusiastic drivers. Now the Autostadt of the ZeitHaus is exhibiting a Golf I in the color Atlas White on the fifth floor of the exhibition hall. By the way, it comes from our own collection.

Around two years after the start of production, the millionth Golf rolled off the assembly line in 1976

 Between 1974 and 1983, Volkswagen put around 6 million Golf Is on the roads. To date, a total of 35 million vehicles have been delivered in its eight generations of Golf. The GOLF model is therefore the most produced automobile in the world. It even created its own vehicle class – the “Golf class”.

The beginnings and thus the beginning of a golf era are shown. The show in Wolfsburg begins with the 1970s and the birth of the first Golf. It is presented by the first generation Golf from the ZeitHaus collection. There are wall graphics with 1970s-style wallpaper that symbolize the time of creation. There was a World Cup and Helmut Schmidt from Hamburg became Chancellor. A display case contains the first drawing of the Golf by designer Giorgetto Giugiaro.

The last convertible of its generation from 2002 is presented as a “typical Golf” and the former Golf owners have their say with their stories as “Generation Golf”.

  The golf past and present. The Golf 8 R, which took part in the Ice Race in Zell am See in January 2024, is a signal of 50 years of development since the Golf I. The “ice tunnel” with winter motifs and the Golf invites you to take fan pictures post and thus continue the history of golf.

Concert : le 24 juin 2024 au Tollwood Music Arena - COMPLET !

Munich. TOTO à Munich - malheureusement déjà complet !  Arène musicale du festival d'été de Tollwood à l'Olympiapark Süd. Mais toute la région de Tollwood écoutera et chantera probablement « Africa », « Rosanna », « Child's Anthem », « Georgy Porgy » ou « Hold the Line ». Le groupe de rock américain fondé à Los Angeles en 1976 se produira aujourd'hui, 24 juin 2024, au Tollwood Music Arena. TOTO apporte plus de 40 ans d'histoire du groupe à Munich et sur la scène musicale. Le groupe de rock The Effect ouvre ce soir.

TOTO parcourt le monde depuis plus de 30 ans

 

Le groupe a été fondé en 1976-1977 par Jeff Porcaro et David Paich à Los Angeles – tous deux ont joué ensemble dans un groupe de lycée. Steve Lukather, Steve, le frère de Jeff Porcaro, Bobby Kimball et David Hungate furent bientôt ajoutés et le nom Toto est né (d'après le chien de Dorothy dans le film classique "Le Magicien d'Oz").

 

 TOTO à Munich, c'est aujourd'hui le soir du 24 juin 2024

 

Steve Lukather, Joseph Williams, John Pierce ainsi que Shannon Forrest (en remplacement de Searight) et Greg Phillinganes (en remplacement de Taplin).

À ce jour, Toto compte 21 albums (13 studio, 1 bande originale, 7 live) et six Grammys.

TOTO a vendu plus de 40 millions d'albums au cours des dernières décennies et occupe une place de choix au Temple de la renommée des musiciens depuis 2009.
