MUNICH. The 2024 European Football Championship will begin on Friday, June 14th with the first European Championship game in the “Munich Allianz Arena”, which was renamed the “Munich Football Arena” for this European Championship. From Group A, the German national team will play against the Scottish national team. In record time, a school sports facility in Garmisch was converted into a training camp for the “Scotland national football team”. The Scottish team's nickname goes back to the national hero William Wallace, who went down in history as “Braveheart” because he led the Scots' long and persistent resistance against England in the late 13th and early 14th centuries.
