Munich - Live concerts 2025. On Monday, Patti Smith, the Godmother of Punk, will be playing at the Tollwood Summer Festival! This woman is a cult figure! The "Queen of Coolness" started out in New York in the 1970s and knew every rock star. Who doesn't know her "Because The Night"? This song was written by Bruce Springsteen, by the way. Patti will delight fans at Munich's music arena in Olympiapark Süd. On July 14, 2025, the 78-year-old American "Godmother of Punk" Patti Smith (born December 30, 1946) will rock the stage. With Patti's 1975 single "Horses," a new era of music dawned. The era of punk! And Patti Smith was there. She was a woman. She rebelled. She wanted freedom. She played guitar. She sang. Patti was already 29 years old at the time. Her music and lyrics represented the desire for freedom of an entire generation. Rebel, punk singer, poet, and all of it with emotion.
