WACKEN 2025. The world's biggest heavy metal festival, the 34th Wacken Open Air 2025 (W:O:A), begins on July 30, 2025. Ozzy Osborne would have certainly loved to be there and rock with us...! (in this blog about Ozzy Osborne)!! The festival of heavy rock music is once again the global heavy metal event that thrills all generations!!! It really gets your pulse racing and lets the heavy metal beat rock hard... ;-)) Since 1990, heavy metal fans have traditionally flooded the village of Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein on the first weekend of August – hard rock fans don't know any weather! When the speakers are blaring loudly, the puddles vibrate under your motorcycle boots, or the sun beats down on your fur, things really get going! THAT'S "WACKEN"! Starting tomorrow, four days of hard rocking will take place northwest of Hamburg. A total of 85,000 tickets for the festival have been sold since September 2024. The big "Wacken 2025" spectacle kicks off at the fans' campsite
The arrival of the nearly 90,000 fans is almost complete. Despite a rainy Sunday, many filled the streets over the weekend, thrilled by rock music from the super-sound system and anticipation of the event, making the long drive seem forgotten. Since Sunday, rows of cars have been rolling leisurely toward the campsite for "Wacken Open Air 2025," their speakers rocking to the beat.
Many hard rock guests and Wacken pilgrims have settled into their campgrounds, and the Wacken metal holiday life has begun, complete with beer, currywurst, and fries.
