Munich - Odeonsplatz. Munich's most beautiful classical open air event begins! For the 24th time, Odeonsplatz, in front of the Residence of the Bavarian Kings, will be transformed into a unique open-air concert hall. "Classical at Odeonsplatz" begins on Saturday, July 12th, and Sunday, July 13th, 2025: The concerts will take place at 8:00 PM each day on Odeonsplatz in Munich. 14,000 people can attend two concert evenings... Information: www.klassik-am-odeonsplatz.de Classical music in a unique atmosphere, with top-class ensembles, soloists and conductors in one of the most magnificent squares in Munich, indeed in all of Europe.

The Munich Philharmonic and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra will be there
The Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra will kick off the music weekend on Saturday with Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3 and a suite from Johann Strauss's "Rosenkavalier" in warm temperatures. The Munich Philharmonic will treat music fans to Beethoven's Violin Concerto and Rachmaninoff's "Symphonic Dances" on Sunday.

The success story of Klassik am Odeonsplatz began with its founding in 2000.
With the 25th anniversary concert, we Munich residents celebrate our festival of classical music in the heart of the Bavarian capital.
This open-air event is a major cultural highlight in Munich and a fantastic TV event that reaches millions of people and invites them to Munich for an evening. See broadcast dates below!

On Saturday, July 12
- On Saturday, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra will open the evening.
- The concert begins with Sergei Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3 in C major, Op. 26, performed by star pianist Daniil Trifonov.
- For his Klassik am Odeonsplatz debut, Franz Welser-Möst has compiled a suite from Richard Strauss's opera "Der Rosenkavalier," Op. 59, TrV 227.
On Sunday, July 13th
- Georgian-German star violinist Lisa Batiashvili takes center stage today. Together with the Munich Philharmonic and its designated Chief Conductor Lahav Shani, she will perform Ludwig van Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 61.
- The second part of the evening will feature Sergei Rachmaninoff's "Symphonic Dances," Op. 45.
- Lahav Shani already celebrated her highly acclaimed debut at Klassik am Odeonsplatz in 2024.
