Baden-Baden. On October 3, the Frieder Burda Museum opens a cultural highlight with the exhibition "Impressionism in Germany. Max Liebermann and His Time." Impressionism in Germany, with Max Liebermann as one of its key figures, was one of the most influential movements in European art history. Max Liebermann (1847–1935) is considered the pioneer of German Impressionism. His landscapes, painted with wild brushstrokes on canvas, create a light-filled visual world that continues to fascinate today. His iconic and dynamic garden paintings not only give nature a lasting image, they seem to be directly experienced and remain in the viewer's memory. This exciting Impressionism exhibition in Baden-Baden was developed in cooperation with the Museum Barberini in Potsdam and is under the patronage of German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
