Ambacher Advent and Lake Starnberg

3rd Advent - Lake Starnberg

It is always different and always special: LAKE Starnberg

The Munich residents' home lake - excursion tip: December 14th and 15th, 2024 Ambacher Advent on Lake Starnberg

Starnberg Lake. Anyone visiting Munich should not forget the many lakes in the Bavarian foothills of the Alps. The local lake of Munich, as Lake Starnberg is also called, is worth a trip at any time of the year. The water temperature in Lake Starnberg, which is almost 128 meters deep, is currently (December 13, 2024) at 7 degrees and can still increase a little. So: no swimming weather! From Munich you can reach the lake in about 30 minutes, as it is 40 km away. However, parking spaces are rare! But the proximity to Munich invites you to take a day trip. Here is a link for more information: bayregio-starnberger-see.de (enter the link in your browser and explore the lake on the map).

Travel tip: “Ambacher Advent” traditionally on the 3rd weekend of Advent - in Ambach on Lake Starnberg

The "Landhotel Huber am See" is hosting a cozy Christmas market on December 14th and 15th, 2024 under the motto "Ambacher Advent" - more about that in this blog: The “Landhotel Huber am See” is hosting a cozy Christmas market on December 14th and 15th, 2024 under the motto “Ambacher Advent”

In half an hour you can be at Lake Starnberg from Munich!!! At the weekend, the sweet smell of punch and that of roasted almonds will once again complement the fresh, very good winter air on Lake Starnberg. The Ambach Advent market brings festive spirit into the hearts of visitors. There are horse-drawn carriage rides on the lakeshore, visits from Santa Claus and festively lit wooden stalls. The “Ambacher Advent” Christmas market brings the pre-Christmas atmosphere into the hearts of visitors......

An extraordinary water sport - try it out

PLUFFISM

In Istria, pluffism is a sport for sound artists and everyone who likes to hear the sound of the stone falling into the water. The sport originated in the childhood of athletes who never forgot the sound of the stone when it fell into the water. True sound artists compete every year for the most beautiful PLUFF. Because in this championship of the pluffists, the throwers try neither to throw particularly far nor particularly elegantly.
