Schrobenhausen.
Today we would like to publish again an article from 2015, which was surprisingly clicked on a lot this week: It was about “Mediterrano”, that was the short and meaningful title of a Venetian autumn market on a weekend in 2015. In September The driveway, the spacious park and the castle courtyard of the Sandizell moated castle were transformed into a market with a Venetian atmosphere. In just over an hour by car from Munich you can reach the sparrow-growing region of Schrobenhausen, where the beautiful Sandizell moated castle is located. Here is the homepage with the events of 2024 at Sandizell Castle (schloss-sandizell.de/de/schloss/aktuelles) and the full article including idyllic photographs from 2015:

Traders offered rare, old and colorful potato varieties for sale. The visitors carried away huge tomatoes from the Lake Garda region and all sorts of vegetables. There were flowers, herbs and South Tyrolean specialties from the smokehouse.

The musical entertainment, some of which featured historical instruments, and the people strolling here and there dressed in courtly baroque style took visitors back to another time for a few hours.
