Schrobenhausen. Today we would like to publish again an article from 2015, which was surprisingly clicked on a lot this week: It was about “Mediterrano”, that was the short and meaningful title of a Venetian autumn market on a weekend in 2015. In September The driveway, the spacious park and the castle courtyard of the Sandizell moated castle were transformed into a market with a Venetian atmosphere. In just over an hour by car from Munich you can reach the sparrow-growing region of Schrobenhausen, where the beautiful Sandizell moated castle is located. Venetian gondola ride in Sandizell Castle Park
While romantic visitors visibly enjoyed the gondola rides around the glowing yellow castle, 80 stand operators, music groups, artisans and artists provided entertainment, exciting insights into old craft techniques and physical well-being.

Ancient crafts and handicrafts Mediterranean
Whether glass blowers, jewelry blacksmiths or shoe craftsmen, the demonstrations of ancient craftsmanship were impressive.

The stands and tents with frescoes, torn pieces from Italy, wool clothing, leather goods, hats, musical instruments, Venetian masks, wooden goods or kaleidoscopes, oils and hot milk soaps, jewelry, Venetian pearls, Murano-style accessories, minerals, fossils, Madonnas and much more invited you to browse .

Visitors had an entertaining stroll through the park and over the bridge into the castle courtyard, where around 80 attractions were waiting.

Every now and then a rest and a little refreshment:
an original Italian cappuccino or espresso, a waffle or an elderberry pastry, fine schnapps, original Tuscan delicatessen, Sicilian almond pastries, a vino from Sardinia, antipasti, a Mediterrano tarte flambée, baked potatoes, a grilled wild boar in one piece, confectionary chocolates, crepes, liqueurs, jams, pasta , ham, cheese, extra virgin olive oil, Prosecco and wine specialties from Umbria.

Nobody left hungry. You couldn't stop trying and raving about it.

Traders offered rare, old and colorful potato varieties for sale. The visitors carried away huge tomatoes from the Lake Garda region and all sorts of vegetables. There were flowers, herbs and South Tyrolean specialties from the smokehouse.

The musical entertainment, some of which featured historical instruments, and the people strolling here and there dressed in courtly baroque style took visitors back to another time for a few hours.
