Munich. After Oktoberfest is before Oktoberfest! The state capital of Munich has started the competition for the most creative and high-profile motif for the 190th Oktoberfest. Time is running out, the Christmas markets are just starting and the Winter Tollwood Festival is starting on the Theresienwiese, and Oktoberfest is already in the starting blocks. Next year, the poster will advertise the big Munich Okoberfest from September 20th to October 5th, 2025 worldwide. Who can take part in the competition for the Oktoberfest poster motif 2025?
The state capital is calling on all professional graphic artists, graphic designers, artists, students at art academies and technical colleges for visual communication, as well as everyone who can create the official draft with all the requirements - technical and content-related specifications - to take part. You can upload your designs, including personal registration, to the competition website by December 17, 2024 at midnight.
Selecting the best motif in 2025
In January 2025, an audience vote on muenchen.de will select the best 30 designs. The poster designs are then forwarded to the Oktoberfest poster jury.
When the official motif is determined in 2025, it will present the festival from Munich on the Internet and on Oktoberfest licensed items such as the standard beer mug. There will also be 10,000 posters with the new motif..
The winners receive prize money
In addition to the honor of presenting the Oktoberfest in the image, the winners of the first three designs selected by the jury will receive prize money:
- 1st place 2,500 euros - plus. A usage fee for the official motif: 5,000 euros
- 2nd place 1,250 euros
- 3rd place 500 euros
