The photos of “Queen” in Munich
Peter Hince's paperback contains exclusive photos of the band and allows a very personal insight behind the band's scenes.
With around 320 million records sold, QUEEN is probably one of the most successful and popular rock bands of all time. Peter Hince first met the group in 1973; At that time they were the opening act for the band "Mott The Hoople" and it took less than two years until he went on tour with QUEEN as head roadie.
In 2015, Peter Hince's book "Queen intimate. Groupies, Gin and Glitter - On Tour with Queen" was published on the German Book Market |

“Queen unseen” is a must-read for Queen fans
Anyone who grew up with the music of the seventies and eighties has experienced those moments when a new single or LP came onto the market. People were looking forward to the concerts and many people still have those tickets today, the ones that meant freedom back then - at least for the duration of a concert. A contemporary document.

Peter Hince got close to QUEEN on a daily basis
Freddie - or rather, "Fred", as Hince called him in the book, often had his "legendary outbursts of temper" and Hince, who everyone called "Ratty", always came up with something to counteract this. In the book "Queen Intim" he lets the reader experience his everyday life at "Queen" and tells in easy reading what it was really like for him.
Tantrums and swapping guitars: That's what it was really like on tour with Queen
For more than ten years, Peter Hince toured the world with Queen and experienced "Sex, Drugs & Rock'n'Roll". On and behind the stage, in the recording studio or at a lavish party in a Munich bar. As head of the road crew, he was responsible for ensuring that Freddie Mercury was able to deliver his phenomenal performances again and again. Those legendary performances that many still remember today - it wasn't just the technical support that was in demand, but often also his psychological support.
Peter Hince witnessed Freddie composing "Crazy Little Thing Of Love" in the bathtub and calling for his guitar in a suite at the Munich Hilton Hotel. The hotel where the band played football in the lobby one night after a lavish party.
