Munich - Garmisch-Partenkirchen.  New Year's jumping will take place on January 1st at the Great Olympic Ski Jump. The traditional New Year's jumping is the second stop of the Four Hills Tournament in Garmisch-Partenkirchen! Here, the Olympic ski jump always attracts top athletes and sports-loving spectators on the first day of the year. Thousands come and everyone wants to be there live and see the world's best ski jumpers fly. This year, the 22-year-old Austrian Daniel Tschofenig (born March 28, 2002 in Villach) won the prestigious New Year's competition with distances of 141.5 and 143 meters. The Ski World Cup race with the who's who of alpine skiing takes place every January 1st in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen ski stadium. International stars of the ski jumping scene meet to compete on the Olympic ski jump.

  On Christmas Eve, Garmisch-Partenkirchen experienced a white winter fairy tale! Everyone is looking forward to snow and torchlight hikes, skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing around the Zugspitze and the “Winter in the Park” until January 5th, 2025 in the Michael-Ende-Kurpark
