Excursion tip: Garmisch-Partenkirchen with snow at Christmas

Garmisch-Partenkirchen: “Snow fed up” on December 24, 2024

On Christmas Eve, Garmisch-Partenkirchen experienced a white winter fairytale - everyone is looking forward to snow and torchlight hikes, skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing around the Zugspitze and the "Winter in the Park"

Photo impressions from the winter sports resort of Garmisch-Partenkirchen from December 24, 2024

Munich - excursion tip. Garmisch-Partenkirchen is almost a stone's throw from Munich, as it is a full 90 kilometers from the Bavarian capital. You'll be there in just over an hour. Anyone who was there on December 24, 2024 was able to experience a true “Christmas miracle” with the locals. It had snowed overnight until midday. A whopping 30 centimeters of fresh snow had fallen. The snow hike became a special event: the fresh snow crunched underfoot, while the glowing fairy lights everywhere created a homely atmosphere. The subsequent Christmas ceremony with the presentation of presents became even more romantic because the white snow enchanted the world and made everything seem a little quieter. Unfortunately, even in the Alps, this doesn't happen as often on Christmas Eve as it used to. We show Garmisch-Partenkirchen covered in snow in a few photo impressions:

The 4-star Hotel Staudacherhof is idyllically located in Höllentalstrasse in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

"The Staudacherhof in Garmisch-Partenkirchen is one of the first 80 hotels in Germany to receive a MICHELIN Key."
(Quote from the hotel's homepage: staudacherhof.de) The hotel received the MICHELIN Key in October 2024, with this counterpart to the MICHELIN star in gastronomy, travelers can safely find first-class accommodation.
