"We Will Rock You", "Another One Bites the Dust", "I Want to Break Free", "We Are the Champions", "The Show Must Go On", "Living on My Own", "Love of My Life", "Don't Stop Me Now" (1978) e "Bohemian Rhapsody" (1975) sono tra le canzoni più famose del gruppo rock QUEEN: con esse, hanno fatto la storia della musica.

"Queen Uncovered:

Unseen Photographs, Rarities and Insights from Life with a Rock ’n‘ Roll Band"

"Queen Uncovered:

"QUEEN INTIMATE. Groupies, Gin and Glitter - On Tour with QUEEN" è stato pubblicato in tedesco (titolo inglese "QUEEN UNSEEN"),

che è vivamente consigliato anche qui.
Buch: Peter Hince "Queen intim" -  ASIN siehe unten, Foto: Helga Waess

"Crazy Little Thing of Love"

Back of book
Imagine being alongside one of the greatest bands in the history of rock, touring the world and being there as they perform at some of the best and biggest music venues in the world. Peter Hince didn't have to imagine: for more than a decade, he lived a life that other people can only dream of as he worked with Queen as head of their road crew. In 1973, Queen was the support act for Mott the Hoople, for whom Peter was a roadie. Back then, Queen had to content themselves with being second on the bill and the world had not yet woken up to the flamboyant talent of Freddie Mercury. Peter started working full time for Queen just as they were making A Night at the Opera, the album which catapulted them to international stardom. In this intimate and affectionate book, Peter recalls the highlights of his years with the band. He was with Freddie when he composed 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love'; he was responsible for making sure that Freddie's stage performances went without a hitch - and was often there to witness his famed tantrums! He was also party to the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll which are invariably part of life on the road with a rock band.

"We Will Rock You", "Another One Bites the Dust", "I Want to Break Free", "We Are the Champions", "The Show Must Go On", "Living on My Own", "Love of My Life", "Don't Stop Me Now" (1978) et "Bohemian Rhapsody" (1975) font partie des chansons les plus célèbres du groupe de rock QUEEN - avec elles, ils ont écrit l'histoire de la musique.

"Queen Uncovered:

Unseen Photographs, Rarities and Insights from Life with a Rock ’n‘ Roll Band"

Groupies, Gin and Glitter - On Tour with QUEEN » a été publié en allemand (titre anglais : « QUEEN UNSEEN »),

« Crazy Little Thing of Love »

Munich and Freddie Mercury - Remembering a Legend's 79th Birthday

79th Birthday of a Legend in Music History: Freddie Mercury - Frontman of the Rock Band QUEEN

Freddie Mercury felt at home in Munich, where he could stroll undisturbed and party to the fullest! September 5th: Freddie Mercury would have turned 79 today - We remember the legendary Queen frontman with the book recommendations "Queen Intimate" and "Queen Uncovered" by Peter Hince

From the opening act for "Mott the Hoople" to the most successful rock band of all time, "Queen" - Freddie Mercury became a legend in contemporary rock history (Español , Français , Italiano , English , Deutsch)

London - Munich. Freddie Mercury (1946-1991) was born on September 5th, 1946, as Farrokh Bulsara in Stone Town, Zanzibar (now Tanzania), so he would be 79 years old today. Peter Hince, Freddie Mercury's former chief roadie, experienced a - in the truest sense of the word - "hot time" with the band QUEEN! "We Will Rock You," "Another One Bites the Dust," "I Want to Break Free," "We Are the Champions," "The Show Must Go On," "Living on My Own," "Love of My Life," "Don't Stop Me Now" (1978), and "Bohemian Rhapsody" (1975) are among the most famous songs by the rock group QUEEN—with them, they made music history. Freddie Mercury became a legend with his performances and his unique voice. Photographer and author Peter Hince witnessed how Roger Taylor, Brian May, and John Deacon made rock history together with Freddie Mercury, the legendary frontman, lead singer, and composer of QUEEN. He witnessed how the band partied the night away with Freddie in Munich nightclubs, and so on... Freddie Mercury's apartment in Munich's Glockenbachviertel district is also legendary; Freddie felt at home in Munich, where he could stroll undisturbed and party to the max. Original photographs from the book can be found in Munich at the "Galerie Stephen Hoffman - Fine Art Photography" (the link leads to information about Peter Hince and his signed collector's photographs in the Munich gallery at the rear of the Bayerischer Hof Hotel).

"Queen Uncovered:
Unseen Photographs, Rarities and Insights from Life with a Rock 'n' Roll Band"

...that's the title of Peter Hince's new book. Featuring many never-before-seen photos and memorabilia, Queen Uncovered is a treasure trove of amazing content from the personal archive of former Queen roadie and renowned author Peter Hince.

London-based photographer Peter Hince (photo studio in London) has compiled a collection of photographs and ephemera from the band's personal and public moments in this book.

It's a unique photographic record of one of the most famous rock bands of all time. From concerts in Munich to Japan, Hince accompanies Queen from the studio to the street to the stage. Facsimiles of handwritten notes from recording sessions, photos of the band in the studio, images of cassettes given to Hince for his debut in clubs, Freddie Mercury with and without a mustache... The list goes on. In addition to many candid moments, there are great photos of the various items collected from more than a decade of touring: backstage passes, matchbooks, set lists, and more...

In 2015, Peter Hince's book
"QUEEN INTIM. Groupies, Gin and Glitter - On Tour with QUEEN"

was published in German (English title "QUEEN UNSEEN"), which is also highly recommended at this point.

The paperback contains exclusive photos of the band and offers a very personal look behind the scenes. With approximately 320 million records sold, QUEEN is arguably one of the most successful and popular rock bands of all time. Peter Hince first encountered the group in 1973; back then, they were the opening act for the band "Mott The Hoople," and it took less than two years before he began touring with QUEEN as their chief roadie.

"Queen Intimate"
... is a must-read for all Queen fans.

Anyone who grew up with the music of the seventies and eighties experienced those moments when a new single or LP was released. They eagerly anticipated the concerts, and many still have those tickets today, the ones that represented freedom back then—at least for the duration of a concert. A historical document.

From 1979 to 1985, Freddie Mercury (whose real name was Farrokh Bulsara) lived in his apartment in Munich from time to time, met with the other band members at Reinhold Mack's Musicland Studio for recordings, and celebrated parties in the clubs and hotels of the Bavarian capital.

Peter Hince experienced the rock band QUEEN every day, both personally and professionally

Freddie—or rather, "Fred," as Hince calls him in the book—frequently had his "legendary outbursts of temper," and Hince, whom everyone called "Ratty," always came up with a way to counteract them.

In this book, Peter Hince lets the reader experience his everyday life with Queen and, in an easy read, recounts what it was really like for him. The reader becomes a spectator...

Outbursts of anger and guitar swapping: What it was really like touring with Queen

For more than ten years, Peter Hince toured the world with Queen and experienced "sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll." On and offstage, in the recording studio, or at a lavish party in a Munich bar. As head of the road crew, he was responsible for ensuring that Freddie Mercury was able to deliver his phenomenal performances time and again. Those legendary performances that many still remember today – it wasn't just his technical support that was needed, but often also his psychological support.

"Crazy Little Thing of Love"

Peter Hince witnessed Freddie composing "Crazy Little Thing of Love" in the bathtub and calling for his guitar. This was in a suite at the Munich Hilton Hotel. The hotel where the band played soccer in the lobby one night after a lavish party.

Peter Hince - Queen up close - Never-before-seen photos, rarities and fascinating insights into the life of the rock band, book cover shows Freddie Mercury at the sound check in Mexico

Peter Hince got close to QUEEN on a daily basis

Freddie - or rather, "Fred", as Hince called him in the book, often had his "legendary outbursts of temper" and Hince, who everyone called "Ratty", always came up with something to counteract this. In the book "Queen Intim" he lets the reader experience his everyday life at "Queen" and tells in easy reading what it was really like for him.

Tantrums and swapping guitars: That's what it was really like on tour with Queen

For more than ten years, Peter Hince toured the world with Queen and experienced "Sex, Drugs & Rock'n'Roll". On and behind the stage, in the recording studio or at a lavish party in a Munich bar. As head of the road crew, he was responsible for ensuring that Freddie Mercury was able to deliver his phenomenal performances again and again. Those legendary performances that many still remember today - it wasn't just the technical support that was in demand, but often also his psychological support.

Peter Hince witnessed Freddie composing "Crazy Little Thing Of Love" in the bathtub and calling for his guitar in a suite at the Munich Hilton Hotel. The hotel where the band played football in the lobby one night after a lavish party.
