Fifth season in Munich: Munich's breweries have brewed strong beer and are serving flavorful strong beer in traditional steins throughout March and April. Munich celebrates the "fifth season" in the city's well-known pubs and beer halls of the traditional breweries. After Nockherberg, the festivities continue in the city's pubs with Salvator, Maximator, Triumphator, Delicator, Innovator, Animator, Jakobator, and Valentinator – the names of the strong beers. The festivities continue into April at the Königlicher Hirschgarten, the Augustinerkeller, the Löwenbräukeller, and on the Nockherberg. ... And in all traditional Munich inns, the proprietors are delighted to serve their guests fresh strong beer from Munich's breweries. …

Royal Hirschgarten
February 27 & 28, March 6, 7 & 8, March 13, 14 & 15: Strong Beer Festival at the Royal Hirschgarten with Augustiner Maximator, a high-proof beer served from wooden barrels, and live music.
The Royal Hirschgarten invites you to its Strong Beer Festival. Enjoy three weekends of festivities with music from artists like Gigi Pfundmair and the "4 Hinterberger Musikanten" and Roland Hefter with his "Isarriders."

Augustinerkeller
February 27, 2026, 5:00 PM - March 28, 2026, 11:00 PM: Augustiner Strong Beer Festival at the Augustinerkeller
The
Augustinerkeller serves the special brew called "Maximator" from
Munich's oldest monastery brewery. The festivities take place in the
traditional brick-vaulted cellar, among old storage barrels and on
wooden benches. The Harthauser Musi band provides traditional Bavarian
music. Party bands like Cagey Strings and Die Dorfer also perform in the
large festival hall.

Enjoy
the Triumphator from Löwenbräu at the Löwenbräukeller. The Oktoberfest
band "De Wadlbeisser" will create a lively beer tent atmosphere in the
colorful festival hall.

Oktoberfest

February 27 and 28, 2026 – Strong Beer Festival at the Hofbräukeller
Strong
beer is still available there: the "Hofbräu Delicator" – which the
brewery calls a strong beer highlight – is a dark double bock with an
8.4% ABV!
