From Munich city center, Odeonsplatz, or the university, you can be in nature in just a few minutes – in one of the largest inner-city parks in the world, the English Garden. (Deutsch, Italiano, English, Francais)

Munich. Summer in the city is pure vacation, and anyone who lives in Munich is, in short, on vacation in this globally popular metropolis. Cycling, relaxing, and enjoying! If you don't know the English Garden, you don't know Munich!!! And 5 million visitors annually demonstrate that this park, which is, by the way, larger than New York's Central Park, is a true paradise. Students at Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) can relax on the lawn in the English Garden in five minutes, eat ice cream, read books, and study – or something like that... I, too, fondly remember those days; from the university library or the state library, you could quickly get to the countryside.

There are many famous sights in Munich that you absolutely MUST see!

... among them is the English Garden, the green lung of the metropolis of Munich, and the city's most beautiful amusement park. Here you can sunbathe, there you can cool off in the river, there's even a nude beach, and above all, surfers can enjoy the refreshing ride of a big wave.

The English Garden is a great place to spend your free time, especially in summer.

On foot or by bike (on marked paths), you can enjoy the English countryside atmosphere without end. The park was laid out directly along the Isar River, which meanders along it.

The English Garden is one of the largest inner-city parks in the world

On a hill with a magnificent view towards the Frauenkirche stands the famous Monopteros, not far from which is the Chinese Tower with its beautiful beer garden. The band playing in the pagoda creates a Bavarian atmosphere.

Chinese Tower

The Chinese Tower, probably the most famous wooden structure in the English Garden, and its expansive beer garden, are popular with all visitors to Munich worldwide. In summer, the pagoda, built in the imperial Chinese style, and the brass band playing from it are very inviting. It rises 25 meters high and was designed in 1789.

This structure has been so popular throughout history that it often had to be faithfully rebuilt, as it burned down several times.

In this expansive park, pedestrians and cyclists find a relaxing and shady path.

The English Garden offers plenty of space for this within the city center. And from the Monopterus, a 16-meter-high round temple in the Greek style, you have a fantastic panoramic view!

The English Garden, with its Monopteros, Chinese Tower, Japanese Tea House, and more, is an absolute MUST-SEE when visiting Munich.

The Monopteros

The Greek-style Monopteros, a small round temple, captivates every visitor with its view of the Old Town skyline. Situated on a hill, the temple-like circular structure was erected in 1836 in the southern part of the park.

L'Eisbach Wave rinfresca gli spettatori, il Monopterus offre una vista panoramica e alla Torre Cinese si può gustare una birra fresca con musica bavarese dal vivo.

Dal centro di Monaco, da Odeonsplatz o dall'università, in pochi minuti si può raggiungere la natura: in uno dei parchi cittadini più grandi del mondo, il Giardino Inglese (Deutsch, Italiano, English, Francais)

Monaco. L'estate in città è pura vacanza, e chiunque viva a Monaco è, in breve, in vacanza in questa metropoli famosa in tutto il mondo. Pedalare, rilassarsi e divertirsi! Se non conoscete il Giardino Inglese, non conoscete Monaco!!! E 5 milioni di visitatori all'anno dimostrano che questo parco, che tra l'altro è più grande del Central Park di New York, è un vero paradiso. Gli studenti della Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) possono rilassarsi sul prato del Giardino Inglese in cinque minuti, mangiare un gelato, leggere un libro e studiare – o qualcosa del genere... Anch'io ricordo con affetto quei giorni; dalla biblioteca universitaria o da quella statale si poteva raggiungere rapidamente la campagna.

Ci sono molte attrazioni famose a Monaco che assolutamente DOVETE vedere!

... tra cui il Giardino Inglese, il polmone verde della metropoli di Monaco e il parco divertimenti più bello della città. Qui potete prendere il sole, rinfrescarvi nel fiume, c'è persino una spiaggia per nudisti e, soprattutto, i surfisti possono godersi il rinfrescante cavalcare di un'onda gigante.

Il Giardino Inglese è un luogo ideale per trascorrere il tempo libero, soprattutto in estate.

A piedi o in bicicletta (su sentieri segnalati), si può godere a lungo l'atmosfera della campagna inglese. Il parco è stato realizzato direttamente lungo il fiume Isar, che lo costeggia.

 L'Englischer Garten è uno dei parchi cittadini più grandi del mondo

Su una collina con una magnifica vista sulla Frauenkirche si erge il famoso Monopteros, non lontano dal quale si trova la Torre Cinese con la sua splendida birreria all'aperto. La banda che suona nella pagoda crea un'atmosfera bavarese.

Torre Cinese

La Torre Cinese, probabilmente la struttura in legno più famosa dell'Englischer Garten, e la sua ampia birreria all'aperto, sono molto amate dai visitatori di Monaco di Baviera di tutto il mondo. In estate, la pagoda, costruita in stile imperiale cinese, e la banda di ottoni che suona al suo interno sono molto invitanti. Si erge per 25 metri ed è stata progettata nel 1789.

Questa struttura è stata così popolare nel corso della storia che spesso ha dovuto essere ricostruita fedelmente, poiché è stata distrutta da diversi incendi.

In questo ampio parco, pedoni e ciclisti trovano un percorso rilassante e ombreggiato.

Il Giardino Inglese offre ampio spazio per questo nel centro città. E dal Monopterus, un tempio circolare alto 16 metri in stile greco, si gode di una fantastica vista panoramica!

Il Giardino Inglese, con il suo Monopteros, la Torre Cinese, la Casa del Tè Giapponese e molto altro, è assolutamente da non perdere durante una visita a Monaco.

Il Monopteros

Il Monopteros in stile greco, un piccolo tempio circolare, affascina ogni visitatore con la sua vista sullo skyline della Città Vecchia. Situata su una collina, la struttura circolare simile a un tempio fu eretta nel 1836 nella parte meridionale del parco.

La birreria all'aperto è aperta dal lunedì alla domenica durante il “tempo della birreria all'aperto”! Lun-Ven dalle 11.00 / Sab e Dom dalle 10.00

Monaco. Non è più un segreto: la birreria all'aperto presso la Torre Cinese nel Giardino Inglese a Monaco. Gli abitanti di Monaco incontrano i turisti e tutti sono i benvenuti. Non c'è più spazio, poi ci si avvicina e non è raro che l'uno o l'altro si rivolgano direttamente: "Hok di her, dan san ma mer!" Questa è Monaco! Questa è la Baviera! Prelibatezze bavaresi idilliache e musica tradizionale dal vivo dalla Torre Cinese, oltre a un angolo all'ombra e una pinta di birra Hofbräu di Monaco. ... e come è prassi in molti posti della Baviera: “il cibo che portate con voi è consentito” e vi preghiamo di ordinare anche le bevande, ma ci sono anche tavoli con servizio. Il menu offre qualcosa per tutti i gusti e tutti i piatti sono preparati al momento. Gli ingredienti provengono dalla regione e il biologico viene prima di tutto! La Torre Cinese di Monaco è leggendaria e un punto culminante di ogni tour della città. Chiunque abbia passeggiato qui nel Giardino Inglese nella stagione calda merita una bibita fresca. La torre è una pagoda altissima alta almeno 25 metri. Puoi vederli da lontano.

Piatti della birreria all'aperto e birra Hofbräu con musica popolare tradizionale dalla torre

L’“atmosfera bianca e blu” annunciata sulla homepage della birreria all’aperto appare molto rapidamente. A ciò contribuisce, oltre alla musica della banda dalla torre, anche il menù misto di Cinghiale con tanti piatti vegani.  La frutta e la verdura provengono dalla zona di Monaco e gli ingredienti sono di qualità biologica - provengono da agricoltura biologica - e il benessere degli animali è anche al centro dei piatti di carne selezionati. Tutto ciò che è gustoso, vegetariano o vegano si adatta all'intimità bavarese in quella che è probabilmente la birreria all'aperto più ariosa della capitale bavarese.

Da piattaforma panoramica a punto di riferimento - Oggi la Torre Cinese non è più una piattaforma panoramica

La primissima torre cinese originale fu costruita nel 1790 dal capomastro Joseph Frey su progetto di Johann Baptist Lechner per il Volkspark previsto a Monaco. In realtà doveva costituire una bellissima piattaforma panoramica ed era pronta per l'apertura del Giardino Inglese. Da qui dovresti avere una vista sul parco cittadino più grande della Germania: con i suoi 3,7 km² è grande quanto 1.400 campi da calcio.

Il Giardino Inglese fu commissionato dall'elettore Karl Theodor nel 1789 come parco paesaggistico sull'Isar. Qui nel parco pubblico di Monaco, soprattutto l'esercito dovrebbe trovare un posto per rilassarsi. Nel 1792 il Volkspark fu aperto a tutti i cittadini di Monaco, all'epoca circa 40.000 persone.

Munich. No longer a secret: the beer garden at the Chinese Tower in the English Garden in Munich. Munich residents meet tourists and everyone is welcome. There is no more space, then you move closer together and it is not uncommon for one or the other to be addressed directly: "Hok di her, dan san ma mer!" This is Munich! This is Bavaria! Idyllic, Bavarian delicacies and traditional live music from the Chinese Tower plus a shady spot and a pint of Munich Hofbräu beer. ... and as is common practice in many places in Bavaria: “food you bring with you is allowed” and please order drinks with it, but there are also delicacies to pick up yourself and tables with service. The menu offers something for everyone and all dishes are freshly prepared. The ingredients come from the region and organic comes first! The Chinese Tower in Munich is legendary and a highlight on every city tour. Anyone who has walked through the English Garden here in warm weather deserves a cool drink. The tower is a very high pagoda at least 25 meters. You can see them from afar.

Beer garden food and Hofbräu beer with traditional folk music from the tower

The “white and blue atmosphere” announced on the beer garden’s homepage appears very quickly. In addition to the band music from the tower, the mixed Boar menu with many vegan dishes also contributes to this.  The vegetables and fruits come from the Munich area and the ingredients are of organic quality - they come from organic farming - and animal welfare is also the focus of the selected meat dishes. Everything tasty and vegetarian or vegan fits the Bavarian cosiness in what is probably the airiest beer garden in the Bavarian capital.

From viewing platform to landmark - Today the Chinese Tower is no longer a viewing platform

The very first original Chinese Tower was built in 1790 by the master builder Joseph Frey based on a design by Johann Baptist Lechner for the Volkspark planned in Munich. It was actually intended to form a beautiful viewing platform and was ready for the opening of the English Garden. From here you should have a view of Germany's largest city park - at 3.7 km² it is the size of 1,400 football fields.

The English Garden was commissioned by Elector Karl Theodor in 1789 as a park landscape on the Isar. Here in Munich's public city park, the army in particular should find a place to relax. In 1792, the Volkspark was opened to all Munich citizens - around 40,000 people at the time.
