Concert summer in Munich - here August 2nd to 18th - open air concerts in the Brunnenhof of the Munich Residence
Munich. The residence is one of the Munich sights that you should definitely see as a visitor to the Bavarian capital. Here in the beautiful Brunnenhof is the summer stage for a series of live concerts that attract many visitors. The fountain courtyard of the Munich Residence is located right in the heart of the headquarters of the Wittelsbach princes. Anyone who has ever been there will be amazed by the sound of music in this slim courtyard of the Wittelsbach Palace. This summer's open air concerts include Vivaldi's masterpieces as well as an evening with ABBA's Greatest Hits and Freddie Mercury's Queen hits. All of them are timeless classics! Admission to all concerts begins at 7 p.m., the concerts then start at 8 p.m. and last 2 hours each. Residenzstraße is located in the heart of Munich's old town and runs from Marienhof (behind the new town hall) past Max-Joseph-Platz (with the National Theater) and to Odeonsplatz with the Feldherrnhalle. So: It doesn't always have to be the Olympic Stadium with Taylor Swift, because it can also be smaller and more relaxed.
