The *New York Times* has reported on the famous Eisbach Wave, and people even travel from Australia to surf this wave in the Bavarian state capital. Enthusiastic Eisbach surfers confirm that it is always a unique experience. None other than Munich Mayor Dominik Krause—who strongly advocated for the wave's reopening—highlights its value to the city: "Surfing the Eisbach is part of the Munich lifestyle; the Eisbach Wave is a landmark of the city of Munich..." He officially authorized surfing on the Eisbach Wave in the English Garden via an amended general decree, following the natural formation of a stable wave at the site. Surfing hours: daily between 5:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Note: Surfing the Eisbach wave is permitted only for experienced surfers; surfing is at your own risk.
Note: Swimming is prohibited at the Eisbach wave and the raft landing area.

Important rules for surfers at the EISBACH WAVE
Surfing hours: Daily between 5:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Safety requirement: Use of a quick-release safety leash is mandatory.
Prohibition of modifications: Unauthorized aids or structural alterations are strictly prohibited.
