The Route 66 Old Car & Rock 'n' Roll Festival is the largest gathering of its kind in Switzerland, bringing over 3,000 classic cars to Aarburg every year (www.route66aarburg.com). The cult US car event for the whole family!
The story of American automobiles once made its way to Europe via television. You might spot the occasional US car on the streets, and there have always been collectors interested in models from the 1930s through the 1980s. At the big Route 66 Old Car & Rock 'n' Roll Festival, classic cruisers from the 50s and 60s—Cadillacs, Chevrolets, popular Fords, and, of course, Chryslers—will line up side by side.
But what would it all be without powerful Corvettes—and, above all, the hot rods and high-horsepower muscle cars that make hearts race? Just as much as the tuned-up street machines and the roar of Mustang engines do. It is a weekend for enthusiasts of all US car makes.
And, as the website announces:
The first 900 classic cars (model year 1979 or older) with a reserved spot will receive a free festival ticket (including Riverside Concerts).

The "Record Hop" dance sessions—featuring the vibes of the 50s and 60s—are scheduled for:
