gamescom Cologne. Today (August 26), gamescom kicks off in the halls of Koelnmesse. Visitors to the gamescom gaming fair will find a fantastic program featuring new game releases, shows, community events, indie titles, and cosplay, as well as extensive opportunities for business, networking, and professional exchange. A slight downside: tickets for Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday are already sold out. However, many program items can also be followed digitally and for free on gamescom's official YouTube and Twitch channels. Highlights will be presented on August 27 starting at 8:00 PM during the "gamescom awesome indies" show, which will be broadcast live on gamescom's channels. From August 24 to 30, 2026, the event brings together developers, trade visitors, companies, and millions of fans from around the globe—both on-site in Cologne and digitally worldwide.
The developer conference "gamescom dev" kicked things off on August 24. Yesterday evening (August 25), gamescom opened its doors to the general public with the major opening show, "gamescom Opening Night Live."
Throughout the week, gamescom offers a unique blend of entertainment, business, and community experiences.

... delivered one of the year's most spectacular international show highlights on Tuesday evening.
In the gamescom event arena, host Geoff Keighley and co-host Eefje "sjokz" Depoortere presented numerous world premieres, new trailers, and gameplay insights for various titles.
Highlights include new information on *Final Fantasy VII Revelation*, the reveal of the antagonist in *Gears of War: E-Day*, and the first-ever presentation of *The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past*.
Around 5,000 spectators watched the show in person, while millions of fans worldwide tuned in via livestream. The event offered a first glimpse of the new releases and program highlights awaiting visitors at gamescom over the coming days.
