August 8–9, 2026: Classic and Youngtimer Car Meet in Gmund am Tegernsee
"Garage gold" meets enthusiasts: A shared passion for youngtimers and classic cars brings everyone together in Gmund on beautiful Lake Tegernsee
Saturday, August 8: Vehicles built between 1970 and 1997 / Sunday, August 9: Classic cars built before 1970 – Classic and Youngtimer Meet at the fairgrounds in Gmund am Tegernsee (ENGLISH, DEUTSCH, ITALIANO, FRANÇAIS)
Gmund am Tegernsee. The Oldtimerclub Tegernseer Tal—which is celebrating its 25th anniversary—established this classic and youngtimer meet and invites everyone to Gmund for the second weekend in August. Historic automobiles and motorcycles, some up to 100 years old, will be on display at the large fairgrounds in Gmund. Anyone familiar with the sounds knows the distinctive hum of a six-cylinder Mercedes or the unmistakable "reng-deng-deng" greeting of a two-stroke Trabant. Participants from Franconia, the Palatinate, and Austria have already announced their attendance. Spectators can engage in "petrolhead" conversations and chat about their passion for classic cars... or simply enjoy a relaxed technical discussion with the owners of these magnificent machines. Well-known local caterers will provide food and drinks on both days. And don't worry: shade will be provided in case of strong sunshine. ...and who knows? You might even run into Uli Hoeneß here. The vintage vehicle event, originally scheduled for August 9,
has been extended to include Saturday (August 8)
due to the high number of vehicles expected
Saturday (August 8): Vehicles from model years 1970 to 2000
Sunday (August 9): Vehicles ranging from the oldest models up to model year 1970
- *Weisswurst* (Bavarian white sausage) served in the morning
- Coffee and cake for sale in the afternoon
