Munich. Viktualienmarkt - Winter Magic 2024. Until January 4th, 2025, Monday to Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (on December 24th, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.). Stroll, feast, taste, shop with free admission while sipping on mulled wine, hot chocolate or a liver loaf roll!

A very special winter magic welcomes visitors to the Viktualienmarkt this year: the 110 local traders with tropical fruits, meat, game, poultry, various types of cheese, fish, bread and baked goods and fragrant spice stands have been joined by 30 winter magic stalls , which promise a pleasant shopping and tour.

In the large Christmas nativity scene on the Viktualienmarkt there are carved wooden figures that are modeled on the market people - it's worth taking a closer look here.

And of course there is a nativity scene, hot drinks, a gift stand and sweets. How about a good bottle of olive oil or a fragrant arrangement for the celebration this year? It gets particularly atmospheric here from 5 p.m., when all the Viktualienmarkt stalls are bathed in festive light. Here you can shop perfectly on the market's total area of ​​18,591 square meters.

The Viktualienmarkt is the Munich way of life. Weisswurst, Munich beer, fresh pretzels and mulled wine, that's not all that underlines the charm of the market and its many stalls. The Christmas lighting and the nativity scene in the beer garden, modeled on the traders, also make it a place that you have to visit before Christmas. The Viktualienmarkt in Munich is a Bavarian gem

Munich. Sport is very important in our beautiful cosmopolitan city this summer and ranges from open-air dancing to traditional Bavarian dances to the attractive sports mile. The specially developed sports program focuses on the UEFA EURO 2024, which begins on June 14, 2024 and starts in the host city of Munich. Before that, to the city founding festival weekend on June 8th and 9th, 2024 and to the sports mile that starts at Odeonsplatz and was planned by the Department for Education and Sport. In addition to the square at the Feldherrnhalle, Wittelsbacherplatz will attract with an open-air dance floor. There are guided dance courses and dance shows here. Figures from two dance rows are alternately rotated based on the dance master's commands. The dancing will be to Johann Strauß Sohn's “Bat Quadrille,” which will be played live by the Karl Edelmann Salon Orchestra.
