That’s all in the past! Now, there is a temporary, fully equipped campsite for motorhome visitors to the Munich Oktoberfest, located just a 20-minute subway ride from the festival grounds. This is made possible by the pop-up motorhome campsite at Messestadt Ost, which offers a direct subway connection to the Oktoberfest. It’s a convenient way to travel—relax and take the subway to the festival and, most importantly, get back to your sleeping quarters easily during the 2026 Oktoberfest.

The campsite at the Munich exhibition grounds is open ONLY from September 16 to October 5, 2026
... meaning during the period surrounding Oktoberfest, which begins on September 19 and concludes on October 4, 2026, with the traditional salute by the gunner clubs (*Böllerschützen*). The camping area, spanning approximately 150,000 m², offers pitches for 1,500 motorhomes. Of these, 800 pitches are equipped with on-site electricity connections.
