Munich. Animals in films are always a special attraction... Bavaria Filmstadt is looking for a talented film dog – one that enjoys being the center of attention. The "Film Dog Casting" will take place on June 14, 2026. Applications for the casting can already be submitted. The selected animal will then be tested and, if talented, added to the film animal database. So, if you would like to present your intelligent purebred or beautiful mixed-breed dog, you can apply for the film dog casting on June 14, 2026 – Location: Bavaria Filmstadt grounds.

What should a film animal be able to do?
If
it comes from Bavaria, it should have plenty of free time, and its
owner should be of legal age and mobile. Furthermore, all animal welfare
regulations must be met.
The perfect film dog meets the following requirements:
- Over 18 months old
- Commands must be possible even at a distance: "Sit, down, stand, rest head while down, remain in position for at least 2 minutes"... Retrieve and bark on command.
- It has no problems with strangers (being touched is acceptable)
- Motivated by treats and toys
- Enjoys training
