Munich. Since 1996, the Irish community in the Bavarian capital has celebrated the largest St. Patrick's Day festival on the European mainland every year on the weekend before the Irish national holiday (March 17). On Saturday, March 14, and Sunday, March 15, 2026, thousands will celebrate Ireland's patron saint in Munich's squares and streets. This tradition has been going strong in the Bavarian capital for 30 years. The celebration is a highlight of Munich's event calendar every year. The Munich Irish Network e. V. (MIN), with the help of numerous volunteers, is the organizer of the entire celebration. Munich's Mayor Dieter Reiter has been the patron for many years. ...
