analytica Munich Trade Fair 2026
A trade fair that is also interesting and forward-looking for students and teachers: analytica Munich Trade Fair - The world's leading trade fair for laboratory technology, analysis, and biotechnology ...
March 24–27, 2026: analytica at the Munich Trade Fair Center (ENGLISH, ITALIANO, FRANÇAIS, DEUTSCH, NEDERLANDS)
Munich. The analyica Messe trade fair in Munich will showcase new dimensions in data analysis, high-performance mass spectrometry for biomolecules, and practical, specialized equipment for non-experts. Visitors will learn about innovations ranging from asbestos scanners and forensic DNA kits to new mass spectrometers for the development of gene therapies. Over 1,100 exhibitors will present their latest products. Even before the event, spectacular innovations in digitalization, robotics, and AI, as well as instrumental analysis, are being announced – the corresponding equipment is sure to be of great interest to industry professionals. Nine world premieres are eagerly anticipated, announced by the following exhibitors: AnalytiChem, Knauer, Mettler-Toledo, Thermo Fisher, Velp, Verder and Waldner.

The laboratory market is changing rapidly, as the industry's innovative strength remains unbroken.
"Artificial intelligence is one of the key drivers, and at the same time, analytica exhibitors are presenting a wide range of new devices and technological advancements," explains Susanne Grödl, Exhibition Director of analytica.
Trade fair visitors can expect to see new AI tools and more powerful instruments at the event (hall and booth number in parentheses)
- The METIS software from ChemInnovation (A1.226A) identifies not only known but also completely unknown substances from GC-MS data. In addition to databases with more than ten million spectra, it utilizes an AI that interprets fragmentation patterns in mass spectra.
- FACCTs (A3.503-1), a spin-off of the Max Planck Society, relies on quantum chemical simulations for spectral analysis and structure elucidation. In Munich, the company is showcasing its Toucan software with an NMR dashboard that aids in understanding NMR spectra and the NMR properties of analytes.
- Waters (A1.328) is presenting Xevo CDMS, a mass spectrometer that enables the direct mass measurement and characterization of extremely large and highly heterogeneous biomolecules. This represents groundbreaking innovation for the development of mRNA therapeutics and gene therapies, as even viral gene carriers can be analyzed with the instrument.
- The Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems IPMS (A3.312) is developing a chip technology for this purpose that can be integrated into small devices. Initial test kits for applications in medicine, biology, agriculture, and environmental analysis will be on display at analytica.
These few examples alone underscore the dynamism of the industry
"Analytica is the place where innovations in modern analytics are presented, discussed, and contextualized," summarizes Susanne Grödl. "And by bringing together manufacturers, users, researchers, and investors, we set the course for future developments and keep the innovation cycle flowing."
