Munich: let's go into the last weekend of the Oktoberfest
On the last Sunday of the Oktoberfest - October 6th - the firecrackers of the Bavarian Sport Shooters will shoot the big salute in front of the shooting tent at the foot of the Bavaria, thus ending the Munich Oktoberfest 2024
It's all over with the singing of the Bavarian anthem (see text below!) - you can then celebrate until 11.30 p.m.!
Munich. On today's bridge day you can ring in the last Oktoberfest weekend. Let's go! Let's go to the Oktoberfest to celebrate! Before on Sunday, October 6th from 12 p.m., the gunners shoot on the steps in front of the Bavaria, traditionally announcing the last hours of the Munich Oktoberfest. From 11:30 p.m. it's official: it's over - it's over! The Oktoberfest hosts will be packing up starting tomorrow. And us? We are already planning for the Oktoberfest in 2025. Let's look forward to the first Oktoberfest Saturday, when on September 20, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. the motto will be: o'zapft is! That means: We can hardly wait... ;-)) :-)) ... because then we can go around the Ferris wheel again until Sunday, October 5th, 2025. But it's not over yet. Two more days until the largest folk festival in the world says goodbye to its guests in Munich. So let's go: the final sprint of the celebration! Only when, on the last Sunday of the Oktoberfest, the cannon shooters of the Bavarian Sport Shooters fire the big salute in front of the shooting tent at the foot of the Bavaria, thus honoring the winner of the "Oktoberfest State Shooting", then it's over! ...then the Oktoberfest 2024 ends on Munich's Theresienwiese. - - - -

The shooting festival tent with the shooting ranges
According to the old Bavarian tradition, the salute is fired in front of the shooting festival tent by female and male gunners. By the way, the state shooting competition was held during the Oktoberfest at the shooting ranges in the Schützenzelt - just like that. This is where the shooting ranges where the shooting competitions take place are located. This is the highlight of the year, the “Oktoberfest State Shooting”. This is organized by the “Bavarian Sports Shooting Association”.
The firecracker shooting is the traditional award ceremony... and this is where the annual Oktoberfest conclusion has developed from.
This year again, around 60 male and female firecrackers in their club costumes will stand in formation on the steps in front of the Bavaria at 12 p.m. sharp and loudly shoot black powder into the air until white smoke rises.
A brass band will play and end the 2024 Oktoberfest with the Bavarian anthem.

PLEASE arrive IN TIME if you want to be in the front seats
Maybe you should practice again if you want to sing along loudly with our Bavarian anthem on Sunday at the spectacular conclusion of the Oktoberfest.
But: the whole country can watch the Oktoberfest on TV on Sunday, because Bavarian television and Munich TV will broadcast the end of the Oktoberfest at the feet of Bavaria.

Gott mit dir, du Land der Bayern,

Seines Himmels, weiß und blau! :|
