As the Labor and Economy Department of the state capital Munich announced today, the Mittagswiesn was also “strongly attended” on all days. And at the sales stands, “Glazed fruits, chocolate hearts with figurines, such as the Munich child or the angel Aloisius, ... were in great demand.” And the classic roasted almonds and stomach bread also did well – as did cotton candy and bratwursts. Our guests from overseas stuck to Bavarian Oktoberfest clothing and loved to celebrate in lederhosen and dirndls - as this Bavarian music band demonstrates.

Overall, the festival management, the showmen, stand operators and innkeepers were very satisfied with the quiet and peaceful Oktoberfest.
