The Long Night of Music is once again the highlight for all dancing queens, rock stars and music fans
Saturday, May 11th, 2024 - 23rd "Long Night of Music" 2024 in Munich
Munich. It's that time again: on Saturday, May 11, 2024, we will start the Long Night of Music in Munich for the 23rd time with over 400 concerts. A total of 95 Munich institutions are offering concerts, demonstrations, dance courses, performances and much more this Saturday night. We can hold unusual concerts not only on the 4 large stages but also in jazz clubs, small pubs, bars, cafés, restaurants, various clubs, and even in hotels, in 14 churches, in our eight theaters, in five dance schools, and in two consulates experience in unusual places. Or have you ever heard live music in a swimming pool, at a sports facility or in a bookstore or wine shop? The day in May is the perfect opportunity for an unusual music experience in our special city. The ticket costs 20 euros plus advance booking fee and is valid as an entry ticket for the venues and as a ticket for the MVG shuttle buses.

One ticket for all venues and all concerts
Want to take a look everywhere, stay, dance, rock or just listen comfortably? Depending on the music, anything is possible that night in Munich.
There are 4 outdoor stages on which a total of 12 bands will perform on May 11, 2024.
So off to the Gasteig HP8 or to the opera, concerts and tours in the Bavarian State Opera. Who has ever seen pop singers at ROY in the Hackerhaus? Or how about the State Theater at Gärtnerplatz, where the ensemble works a night shift.
Mood, celebration and dancing
You can celebrate with a trip to the Alte Rotation in the Pressehaus, or to the Deutsches Theater, to the Night Club of the Hotel Bayerischer Hof, or - listen and be amazed - to Café Rischart on Marienplatz. And of course there is “Rock im Ratskeller”!
Friends of classical music
Well-maintained grades are presented in the University of Music and Theater or in the AGV (Academic Singing Association).
Or listen to some decent jazz again?
Then head to the Brasserie OskarMaria in the Literaturhaus or the Munich Künstlerhaus.
No genre of music or type of location will be left out this year
There are numerous pop-up stages such as in the Hugendubel bookstore, in the Müller'schen Volksbad, and in the MINI Pavilion, where established music greats and newcomers alternate.
JBL STORE Munich? At GEMA, the office becomes a stage - three promising young bands will perform.
The TU Munich or the MTV Munich, the Boxwerk and many, many more make music. The Long Night Route does not leave out any genre of music.
And a short dance course at one of the dance schools will ensure rhythmic and precise movements.
A special feature of this music night is the popular Munich organ tour
“Through Vivaldi’s seasons with eight organists” is the motto in eight Munich churches, which even offer a coordinated program.

EVENT TIP for music and party lovers
Saturday, May 11, 2024: 23rd "Long Night of Music" 2024 in Munich
The ticket costs 20 euros plus advance booking fee
and is valid as an entry ticket for the venues
as well as a ticket for the MVG shuttle buses.
- You can get from place to place with the MVG shuttle bus
- All venues are served on four different bus tours every 10 minutes
- The focal point is always Odeonsplatz
- For the first time the bus shuttle also goes to Giesing,
- with a stop at the Luther Church in Munich,
- the citizens' initiative at stop 58,
- the Giesinger Bräu tavern
- and the Edelweiss.
