Munich. TOTO à Munich - malheureusement déjà complet !  Arène musicale du festival d'été de Tollwood à l'Olympiapark Süd. Mais toute la région de Tollwood écoutera et chantera probablement « Africa », « Rosanna », « Child's Anthem », « Georgy Porgy » ou « Hold the Line ». Le groupe de rock américain fondé à Los Angeles en 1976 se produira aujourd'hui, 24 juin 2024, au Tollwood Music Arena. TOTO apporte plus de 40 ans d'histoire du groupe à Munich et sur la scène musicale. Le groupe de rock The Effect ouvre ce soir.

TOTO parcourt le monde depuis plus de 30 ans

 

Le groupe a été fondé en 1976-1977 par Jeff Porcaro et David Paich à Los Angeles – tous deux ont joué ensemble dans un groupe de lycée. Steve Lukather, Steve, le frère de Jeff Porcaro, Bobby Kimball et David Hungate furent bientôt ajoutés et le nom Toto est né (d'après le chien de Dorothy dans le film classique "Le Magicien d'Oz").

Steve Lukather, Joseph Williams, John Pierce ainsi que Shannon Forrest (en remplacement de Searight) et Greg Phillinganes (en remplacement de Taplin).

À ce jour, Toto compte 21 albums (13 studio, 1 bande originale, 7 live) et six Grammys.

TOTO a vendu plus de 40 millions d'albums au cours des dernières décennies et occupe une place de choix au Temple de la renommée des musiciens depuis 2009.

Munich. TOTO in Munich - unfortunately already sold out!  Music arena at the Tollwood summer festival in the Olympiapark Süd. But the entire Tollwood area will probably listen and sing along to “Africa,” “Rosanna,” “Child’s Anthem,” “Georgy Porgy” or “Hold the Line.” The American rock band, which was founded in Los Angeles in 1976, will perform today, June 24, 2024, at the Tollwood Music Arena. TOTO brings over 40 years of band history to Munich and to the stage of the music arena. By the way, this tour is named after the band's namesake "Toto", Dorothy's dog in the classic film "The Wizard of Oz": TOTO - The Dogz of Oz World Tour 2024. The rock band The Effect opens this evening.

TOTO has been touring the world for over 30 years

 

The band was founded in 1976-1977 by Jeff Porcaro and David Paich in Los Angeles - both of them played together in a high school band. Soon they were joined by Steve Lukather, Jeff Porcaro's brother Steve, Bobby Kimball and David Hungate...

Steve Lukather, Joseph Williams, John Pierce as well as Shannon Forrest (replacing Searight) and Greg Phillinganes (replacing Taplin).

To date, Toto can look back on 21 albums (13 studio, 1 soundtrack, 7 live) and six Grammys.

TOTO has sold over 40 million albums over the past few decades and has been in pride of place in the Musicians Hall of Fame since 2009.

München. TOTO in München - leider schon ausverkauft!  Musik-Arena auf dem Tollwood Sommerfestival im Olympiapark Süd. Aber vermutlich wird das gesamte Tollwoodgelände zuhören und  „Africa“, „Rosanna“, "Child’s Anthem", "Georgy Porgy" oder „Hold the Line“ mitsingen. Die US-amerikanische Rockband, die 1976 in Los Angeles gegründet wurde, tritt heute am 24. Juni 2024 in der Tollwood Musik-Arena auf. TOTO bringt über 40 Jahren Bandgeschichte nach München und auf die Bühne der Musik-Arena. Die Rockband The Effect eröffnet diesen Abend.

Über 30 Jahre lang tourt TOTO durch die Welt

 

Die Band wurde 1976–1977 Jeff Porcaro und David Paich in Los Angeles gegründet - beide spielten schon gemeinsam in einer High-School-Band. Bald kamen Steve Lukather, Jeff Porcaros Bruder Steve, Bobby Kimball und David Hungate hinzu und der Name Toto wurde geboren (kurzerhand nach dem Hund von Dorothy im Filmklassiker "Der Zauberer von Oz").

 

 TOTO in München, das sind heute am Abend des 24. Juni 2024

 

Steve Lukather,  Joseph Williams, John Pierce sowie Shannon Forrest (als Ersatz für Searight) und Greg Phillinganes (der Ersatz für Taplin). 

Toto blickt bis heute übrigens auf 21 Alben (13 Studio, 1 Soundtrack, 7 Live) sowie sechs Grammys zurück. 

TOTO hat in den letzten Jahrzehnten über 40 Millionen Alben verkauft und steht seit 2009 in der Musicians Hall of Fame auf ihrem Ehrenplatz.
