Hanover - Schützenplatz. Not far from the 96er stadium, fans of traditional US cars and bikes will have a real treat on Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27, 2025, practically in the heart of Hanover. The show has long since established itself internationally as one of the leading US car festivals and attracts thousands of visitors to Hanover's Schützenplatz behind the Maschsee lake every year. Anyone who's been there before knows what to expect: spectacular motoring action, extraordinary vehicles, and plenty of fun for all ages. The Street Mag Show is always the ultimate experience for horsepower enthusiasts. Those who attend this event will experience the American way of life on wheels and get a striking picture of the American way of life – from Route 66 and diners to rock 'n' roll.

The "Street Mag Show" is far more than an ordinary car show

This event is a classic homage to American automotive culture, combining nostalgia with modern design. There's an impressive selection of classic muscle cars, rare hot rods, luxury road cruisers, and custom motorcycles to admire, presented by enthusiasts from all over Germany and Europe.

The US Car and Bike Show has been taking place in Hanover for 35 years.

It all began in 1989, and to this day, this show has become Germany's largest US car and bike show. It has achieved cult status.

From July 26th to 27th, the Schützenplatz will be a stage for shiny paint, powerful engines, and the most iconic vehicles from America for a summer weekend.

Individual vehicles will be presented to the public on the show stage. A Show 'n' Shine competition will take place throughout the day, where the vehicles will be judged by a panel of experts.

On Sunday afternoon, the most original and beautiful vehicles from over 20 categories will be honored.

The "Street Mag Show" also features an action-packed supporting program.

There will be stages with live music, stunt shows, a lowrider show, food trucks, and merchandise stands, providing entertainment and variety for the whole family, making it an unforgettable experience.

Highlights for horsepower fans at the "Street Mag Show"

High-powered dragsters that the audience can see up close and, above all, hear,

• a large lowrider show with the best drivers from Germany, France, and Italy,
• a Bobby Car race for the little ones,
• a burlesque show,
• and much more.

Providing the musical entertainment this year will be

the band "Boppin B" from Aschaffenburg: The five full-blooded rock 'n' rollers are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year. The band's infectious energy, passion, and joy for music are infectious and simply fun.

Opening the evening will be "JP King" from Hamburg, with songs from Elvis and Johnny Cash to Buddy Holly and the Stray Cats. With a diverse repertoire and a fantastic performance, he ensures an unforgettable rock 'n' roll event.

The show can be seen from the top at the "Hildesheim Light Ride."

A team of firefighters and paramedics will be on site with a 60-meter ladder.

The proceeds from the rides will be collected for donations for sick children.

In total, the organizers expect up to 2,700 vehicles and approximately 15,000 visitors

The "Street Mag Show" in Hanover promises an unforgettable weekend full of nostalgia, adrenaline, and fascination with American automotive culture. As a traditional event, the "Street Mag Show" has become much more than a mecca for fans of American vehicles.

The Scorpions made hard rock and heavy metal history yesterday in Hanover with their performance under the motto "Scorpions - 60th Anniversary - Coming Home."

The German hard rock band SCORPIONS celebrated their 60th anniversary on July 5th at the Heinz von Heiden Arena in their hometown of Hanover

Hanover. The Scorpions rocked the Hanover soccer stadium with their song "Rock You Like a Hurricane." Rosy Vista, Bülent Ceylan, Alice Cooper, and even Judas Priest were the opening acts for the band's 60th anniversary on Saturday, July 5th. Then the legendary SCORPIONS entered the heated ROCK ARENA and once again made hard rock history! Here are a few recent photos from yesterday's legendary Scorpions concert... it was a fantastic atmosphere...

 The rock band SCORPIONS was founded in 1965 by Rudolf Schenker as Nameless in Hanover and released its first album in 1972

Singer Klaus Meine (born May 25, 1948 in Hanover) wrote many of the lyrics and has also been involved in songwriting since the late 1980s. In addition to Klaus Meine (vocals), Rudolf Schenker (guitar), Matthias Jabs (guitar), Mikkey Dee (drums), and Paweł Mąciwoda (bass) will be performing at the upcoming concerts. Uli Jon Roth shaped the band in the 1970s; Michael Schenker was also part of the lineup twice, and Herman Rarebell - Herman ze German - was a drummer in the hard rock band Scorpions from 1977 to 1994.

Hanover. Her photos show, like classical sculptures, different perspectives and levels of perception. While the viewer usually wanders around a sculpture in order to grasp it as a whole, Barbara Probst's photographs take over the viewer's movement and show a motif from many sides. The photographing sculptor makes it easy for the art viewer: they can train their perception of art and experience new ways of seeing in the form archived in the photo. But: in the photo he only has a preselection of the viewer in front of him. A perspective that the artist provides. The exhibition “Subjective Evidence” by the photographer Barbara Probst was created in cooperation with the Kunstmuseum Lucerne, the Contemporary Arts Center from Ohio and the Sprengel Museum Hannover.

The artist Barbara Probst 

She was born in Munich in 1964. From 1984 to 1990 she studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich, and the Düsseldorf Art Academy. 

As a photographer, Probst has earned an international reputation in art with her post-conceptual photography. Her photography series introduce new perspectives and play with the perception of reality within the photographic image. In photographs taken at the same time, the same rooms and scenes are shown from ever new perspectives. 

Barbara Probst appears to be playing with the strategies of representation. Apparently trivial motifs such as a taxi or an apple are seen in a new way in multi-faceted representations and perspectives. 

The artist lives and works in New York and Munich.

  

The exhibition title “Subjective Evidence” highlights the central theme of Probst’s approach 

It's about the subjectivity of perception. In exciting dramaturgies, the artist reminds us that photography does not reflect objective reality, but always purely subjective perceptions that are inspired by the image and selected by the photographer.

Probst questions the “objectivity” of photography and points to a critical path to reflecting on the medium in our time.

Her series of images create a sequence of reality. We are reminded of different photographic genres. The exhibition is therefore also a journey through portrait photography, traditional still life, classic landscape photography and professional studio photography or practical photography.

Before the photo comes the thought, the drawing, the plan and the selection of subject, light and location. Everyone sees the same scenes differently and - depending on their level of experience - perceives them differently. Probst photographs show the simultaneity of perspectives, which are visualized with technical precision.

Probst's conceptual approach and those hyper-staged realities have an aesthetically independent effect on the viewer and challenge playful, intellectual perception. 

Her works stand between the complexity of perception, the relativity of "reality" and the actual form of the object in the subjective reality of photography.
