Spring Festival from April 25 to May 11, 2025, and a classic car gathering on April 27, 2025 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) on Munich's Theresienwiese (Italiano, English, Francais, Deutsch)

Munich. Yesterday, the LITTLE OKTOBERFEST, as the spring festival on the Theresienwiese in the heart of the beautiful city of Munich is affectionately called, kicked off. Traditionally, the festival opened with the tapping of the beer keg: At 4 p.m., Munich's Economic Affairs Minister Christian Scharpf (SPD) tapped the keg and distributed the steins. The Bayernland Festival Hall (table reservations at: www.festhalle-bayernland.de) and the former Oktoberfest tent, the Hippodrom (table reservations at: www.hippodrom.de), are now celebrating every day. From April 25 to May 11, 2025, music will be playing in both tents, and more than 100 fairground attractions, including rides and stalls, will offer plenty of variety. And tomorrow, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., classic car fans will get their money's worth. The first Sunday of the festival (April 27, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) is traditionally dedicated to vintage cars.

Don't miss the classic cars in the southern part of the park under the Bavaria logo. You can expect to see VW Buses, Beetles, Mantas, beautiful Porsches, and rare sedans from the States.

• By S-Bahn - get off at Hackerbrücke station and follow the signs or the people in traditional costumes.

Sunday, April 21, 2024 - from 10 a.m. - vintage cars under the Bavaria in Munich (German)

 

Munich. The 58th Munich Spring Festival will take place this year from April 19th to May 5th, 2024. What does that mean for classic car fans? Of course: On the first Sunday of the festival, April 21st, the classic car society meets with its garage gold on the Theresienwiese like every year!!! Hurray, it's that time again... It's already the 18th meeting organized by the Automobil-Club München e.V. (ACM). The registered vehicles will roll out early this Sunday at 9 a.m. on the 42-hectare festival meadow under the Bavaria - in the Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt district of Munich. The entrance via the Esperantoplatz entrance will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The registered vehicles must have at least 30 years under their belt, or better yet, on the sheet metal, to be included this year.

We and many fans will stand in line again and many press photographers will pull out their cameras when the oldies roll onto the Oktoberfest from 9 a.m.

The Munich Automobile Club will once again allow great historic cars and motorcycles

The expected garage gold will consist exclusively of unique items that have been well cared for by their owners. The rolling cultural asset will attract many friends of mobility history. We are excited about the discussions and about the rare pre-war models, the fine vehicles suitable for everyday use, the early sports cars and the large American limousines.

This year, only classic cars built up to 1994 are allowed to take part

 

    The entrance via Esperantoplatz - opposite Bavaria - will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
    The event then ends at 4 p.m.
    By the way, there is no Corso this year.
    Classic car rarities will find their place in a special exhibition area.
     Visitors and spectators can park in the Spring Festival parking lot.

 

Historic emergency vehicles

We are again looking forward to the historic emergency vehicles from the emergency services, fire brigade and Munich police.

And the ADAC is also there: because it has always had information and support vehicles! This time we see the one from 1962, then 62 years ago - by the standards of the time - there was already a lot going on on the slopes...

Special area for renowned restoration specialist companies

What a classic car always needs are good, original spare parts and expert hands who get the best out of the good pieces. Here and there, specialist companies will also be present at the meeting on Theresienwiese.
