October 10-12: Art Weekend in Munich-Neuhausen

kultüren - Art in Neuhausen 2025

Kulturen Exhibition Weekend: 70 artists from all artistic disciplines open their studios to visitors in Neuhausen - How does an artist live and work in Neuhausen in 2025?

October 10th to 12th, 2025 - Neuhausen around Rotkreuzplatz - Exhibition - Free - No registration required (Deutsch)

Munich, Neuhausen. For the 22nd time, 80 artists in Neuhausen will open their personal studios, and in some cases, their studio apartments, to visitors. Paintings, photography, sculpture, media art, and jewelry design will be on display. How does an artist live and work in Neuhausen in 2025? During the "KULTÜREN" art days of open studios, visitors and collectors can view the more than 40 artists' studios around Rotkreuzplatz and experience what Neuhausen's art scene looks like. The accompanying supporting program includes readings, performances, music, and multimedia events. The Neuhausen art scene weekend can be planned via an info point in the Munich Adult Education Center, TRAFO, Nymphenburger Str. 171 b, where cultural flyers and information material are available, providing information about the cultural participants and locations.

COVER OF THE CATALOG "Scenes and Frames" Dimitri Davies. Contemporary works. Taken on film 150 essential photographs - book recommendation!!!

In Neuhausen, for example, you'll find the Belichtungswert  photo studio of photographer Dimitri Davies,

who shows his analog photography in his Beleuchtungswert photo studio at Nymphenburger Str. 147 (entrance Landshuter Allee).

You can take a look inside via the photographer's websites:  belichtungswert.de and https://dimitri-davies.com

Davies has been working in the field of photojournalism for over 30 years and has developed an extensive repertoire of subjects ranging from reportage and deployment in war zones to classic portraits.

The exhibition at Beleuchtungswert photo studio features a selection of his most recent analog photographs.

Munich: Art Nouveau exhibition in the Kunsthalle

Munich and Art Nouveau

Exhibition tip: “Art Nouveau. Made in Munich” in the Kunsthalle Munich

Exhibition until March 23, 2025 in the Kunsthalle Munich (Deutsch, Français, Italiano)

Munich. The Munich City Museum and the Kunsthalle Munich have jointly created a very interesting Art Nouveau show. She looks at the years around 1900 when society was affected by rapid scientific and technical innovations. Young and visionary artists met in Munich to press art into a new form and with it to reform life in general. People were on the way to a “fairer and more sustainable way of life” that no longer had room for historical models that followed an old, traditional idea.

The New Art was intended to produce the “Art Nouveau” format

Revolutionary, new ideas and artistic designs continued to form the basis for the emergence of art and design into the modern era.

Objects from the collection of the Munich City Museum are shown, which illustrate applied art, sculpture, painting, graphics, photography, fashion and jewelry in a new context to form an overall picture of the young, new style around 1900.

The focus is on the role of Munich as a "cradle of Art Nouveau in Germany" as well as the life questions discussed at the time...

“The development of new networks in the international art market that we have started is meeting with a strong one Demand – especially outside Europe. With the preparation for our 12th birthday in May 2025, this is already evident in the current edition with a rapidly growing international interest. Even if the art market is slowing down and global and economic risks are increasing, it is important to pause and dedicate yourself to the beautiful things in life,” explains organizer Raiko Schwalbe.
