November 13, 2026, to January 10, 2027: Ice Magic at Karlsplatz-Stachus - Munich city center (Deutsch, English)
Munich – Ice skating in the city center. Enjoy some skating to great music, right in the Old Town in front of the historic Karlstor gate, which marks the entrance to the pedestrian zone leading toward Marienplatz. Once again this year, the "largest mobile ice arena"—spanning 750 square meters—will open at Karlsplatz. For the past 24 years, this has been the place to go during the Christmas season for open-air skating or to attend an ice disco in the heart of Munich. Skating is possible daily from 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.—truly a magical ice experience. It becomes especially romantic when the snow begins to fall softly. After your time on the ice, you can look forward to the *Glühwein-Alm* (mulled wine chalet) and a rustic hut serving a variety of delicious local treats… Plus, there’s a full program of events every single day…

The program at the "Munich Ice Magic" (Münchner Eiszauber) changes daily.
Every Monday: "Tracht on Ice"
A special feature on Mondays: anyone who ventures onto the ice wearing traditional Bavarian attire—a *Dirndl* or *Lederhosen*—gets in for free.
Saturdays: "Saturday Night Fever"
On Saturdays, the "Saturday Night Fever" event features upbeat party hits, inviting everyone to dance while on the ice.
Sundays: "2-for-1" Day
Every Sunday, two people can head to the ice rink at Stachus and skate for the price of just one person.
