Baden-Baden – White Horse Sculptures for BADEN GALOPP

Baden-Baden – Lifestyle, elegance, grand hats, and white horses bring the spa town on the Oos river to life for BADEN GALOPP

When the "White Horses" populate Baden-Baden, the international equestrian event weekend at the Iffezheim racecourse is just around the corner

On Saturday, August 29, the major gallop races for the Grand Prix of Baden kick off in Baden-Baden-Iffezheim - August 28 to September 6, 2026: Kurpark Meeting (see below) (ITALIANO, ENGLISH, DEUTSCH, FRANÇAIS)

Baden-Baden. As previously reported, the "Great Week" of horse racing is fast approaching. From late August to early September, the "Grand Prix of Baden" draws many international equestrian athletes and horse racing enthusiasts to this prestigious spa town. Surrounded by the hills of the Black Forest, life-sized "white plastic horses" can currently be spotted here and there in the valley along the Oos river. When these 30 horses reappear, it means the international horse racing days are not far off.

And from the spa park (Kurpark), it is just a "horse's leap" to the Baden-Baden-Iffezheim racecourse, the event's venue. Hotel rooms are already being booked, the elite from the worlds of business and sport are expected, and the spa town is preparing a fantastic inner-city festival for the weekends, featuring live music and gourmet food stalls. The white horse sculptures populate the streets and squares of the spa town of Baden-Baden, making for popular photo opportunities.

And yes, it is impossible to resist capturing how these public art installations transform one's perception. You find yourself looking twice, and when a colorful horse—or even one with zebra stripes—pops up here and there, it brings a smile to your face. In some instances, companies, restaurants, or local hotels have dipped into the paint pot and altered the original white finish.

In this blog, our posts regarding the "Große Woche" (Grand Week) 2026 and the Kurpark Meeting:
