Baden-Baden. Mer et brouillard / SEA AND FOG est le nom de la grande exposition spéciale qui aura lieu du 8 novembre 2024 au 26 janvier 2025 à la Galerie d'art d'État de Baden-Baden / Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden. La grande exposition temporaire ouvrira ses portes le vendredi 8 novembre 2024 à 19h. La mer et le brouillard, dans leur interaction continue, sont placés au centre du regard artistique de l'exposition d'art comme l'un des phénomènes naturels les plus précieux et se reflètent dans l'histoire contemporaine, y compris les guerres. Dans la grande exposition collective SEA AND FOG, de nombreux artistes s'expriment sur le sujet dans leur langage visuel. Les œuvres d'Etel Adnan, Ouassila Arras, Yael Bartana, Nikola Bojić, Damir Gamulin, Mijo Gladović, Damir Prizmić, Cihad Caner, Ali M. Demirel, Simon Denny, Otto Dix, Cevdet Erek, Marco Fusinato, Mariam Ghani, Shilpa Gupta seront montré , Jina Khayyer, Käthe Kollwitz, Kateryna Lysovenko, Sabelo Mlangeni, Mohammad Salemy, Erinç Seymen et d'autres artistes.

La puissance de la mer et l'interaction entre la mer et le brouillard éveillent les émotions

L'histoire contemporaine, comme les guerres et les conflits au Moyen-Orient, en Afrique, en Asie, en Europe et dans le monde entier, ainsi qu'un passé opaque et un avenir inconnu se reflètent dans le phénomène naturel. Existe-t-il des espaces de confort, de compréhension et de solidarité ?

Le communiqué de presse de la Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden précise :

"Le 11 novembre 1918, à cinq heures du matin, l'armistice est signé dans une clairière près de Compiègne en France, mettant ainsi fin à quatre années de Première Guerre mondiale. 106 ans après la fin de cette terrible guerre. , la Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden souhaite présenter l'exposition collective Mer et brouillard, inspirée du livre du même nom de l'artiste et poète Etel Adnan (1925-2021), révèle des interconnexions géographiques et culturelles qui vont bien au-delà en examinant l'histoire des guerres mondiales et leurs effets sur le présent frontières artificiellement dessinées, États-nations et géopolitique.

Le quotidien des nouvelles guerres et catastrophes au Moyen-Orient, en Afrique, en Asie, en Europe et dans le monde entier rend plus nécessaire que jamais la gestion de la Première Guerre mondiale. ... Comme aucune autre guerre auparavant, la Première Guerre mondiale a accéléré le développement technologique. La photographie faisait également partie de ce processus. Entre 1914 et 1918, une quantité sans précédent de matériel visuel a été produite et diffusée. La photographie a fait connaître la brutalité de la Première Guerre mondiale sous forme d'images et a documenté l'horreur sur les différents fronts. ..."

Baden-Baden. Sea and Fog is the name of the large special exhibition that will take place from November 8th, 2024 - January 26th, 2025 in the State Art Gallery Baden-Baden. The large special exhibition will open on Friday, November 8th, 2024 at 7 p.m. The sea and fog in the continuous interplay are placed at the center of the artistic gaze in the art show as one of the most valuable natural phenomena and are reflected in contemporary history, including wars. In the large group exhibition SEA AND FOG, numerous artists express themselves on the topic in their visual language. Works by Etel Adnan, Ouassila Arras, Yael Bartana, Nikola Bojić, Damir Gamulin, Mijo Gladović, Damir Prizmić, Cihad Caner, Ali M. Demirel, Simon Denny, Otto Dix, Cevdet Erek, Marco Fusinato, Mariam Ghani, Shilpa Gupta will be shown , Jina Khayyer, Käthe Kollwitz, Kateryna Lysovenko, Sabelo Mlangeni, Mohammad Salemy, Erinç Seymen and other artists.

The power of the sea and the interplay between sea and fog awaken emotions

Contemporary history such as the wars and conflicts in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe and worldwide as well as an opaque past and an unknown future are reflected in the natural phenomenon. Are there spaces for comfort, understanding and solidarity?

The press release from the Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden states:

"On November 11, 1918, at five o'clock in the morning, the armistice was signed in a forest clearing near Compiègne in France, which ended the four-year-long First World War. 106 years after the end of this terrible war, the Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden would like to present the group exhibition Sea and Fog, inspired by the book of the same name by the artist and poet Etel Adnan (1925–2021), reveals geographical and cultural interconnections that go far beyond by examining the history of the world wars and their effects on the present artificially drawn borders, nation states and geopolitics.

The everyday life of new wars and catastrophes in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe and worldwide makes dealing with the First World War more necessary than ever. ... Like no other war before, the First World War accelerated technological development. Photography was also part of this process. Between 1914 and 1918 an unprecedented amount of visual materials was produced and circulated. The medium of photography brought the brutality of the First World War to people in the form of images and documented the horror on the various fronts. ..."

Große Sonderausstellung SEA AND FOG vom 08. November 2024 – 26. Januar 2025 in der Staatlichen Kunsthalle Baden-Baden

Baden-Baden. Sea and Fog heißt die große Sonderausstellung die vom 08. November 2024 – 26. Januar 2025 in der Staatlichen Kunsthalle Baden-Baden stattfindet. Die Große Sonderausstellung wird am Freitag, den 08. November 2024, um 19 Uhr eröffnet. Das Meer und Nebel im fortlaufenden Wechselspiel wird in der Kunstschau als eines der wertvollsten Naturphänome ins Zentrum des künstlerischen Blickes gestellt und an der Zeitgeschichte samt Kriegen gespiegelt. In der großen Gruppenausstellung SEA AND FOG äußern sich zahlreiche Künstler in ihrer visuellen Sprache zum Thema. Gezeigt werden Arbeiten von Etel Adnan, Ouassila Arras, Yael Bartana, Nikola Bojić, Damir Gamulin, Mijo Gladović, Damir Prizmić, Cihad Caner, Ali M. Demirel, Simon Denny, Otto Dix, Cevdet Erek, Marco Fusinato, Mariam Ghani, Shilpa Gupta, Jina Khayyer, Käthe Kollwitz, Kateryna Lysovenko, Sabelo Mlangeni, Mohammad Salemy, Erinç Seymen und weiterer Kunstschaffender.

Die Kraft der See und das Wechselspiel zwischen Meer und Nebel wecken Emotionen

Zeitgeschichte wie die Kriege und Konflikte im Nahen Osten, Afrika, Asien, Europa und weltweit sowie eine undurchsichtige Vergangenheit und eine unbekannten Zukunft werden am Naturphänomen gespiegelt. Gibt es Räume für Trost, Verständnis und Solidarität?

In der Pressemeldung Staatlichen Kunsthalle Baden-Baden heißt es:

"Am 11. November 1918 um fünf Uhr morgens wurde auf einer Waldlichtung bei Compiègne in Frankreich der Waffenstillstand unterzeichnet, der den vier Jahre andauernden Ersten Weltkrieg beendete. 106 Jahre nach dem Ende dieses schrecklichen Krieges möchte die Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden mit der Gruppenausstellung Sea and Fog, inspiriert vom gleichnamigen Buch der Künstlerin und Dichterin Etel Adnan (1925–2021), durch die Auseinandersetzung mit der Geschichte der Weltkriege und deren Auswirkungen auf die Gegenwart geografische und kulturelle Verflechtungen offenlegen, die weit über
künstlich gezogene Grenzen, Nationalstaaten und Geopolitik hinausgehen. 

Der Alltag neuer Kriege und Katastrophen im Mittleren und Nahen Osten, Afrika, Asien, Europa und weltweit macht eine Auseinandersetzung mit dem Ersten Weltkrieg notwendiger denn je. ... Wie kein anderer Krieg zuvor beschleunigte der Erste Weltkrieg die technologische Entwicklung. Auch die Fotografie war Teil dieses Prozesses. Zwischen 1914 und 1918 wurde eine noch nie dagewesene Menge visueller Materialien produziert und in Umlauf gebracht. Das Medium der Fotografie brachte die Brutalität des Ersten Weltkriegs in Form von Bildern zu den Menschen und dokumentierte den Horror an den verschiedenen Fronten. ..."

Baden-Baden. There is a celebration in Baden-Baden! The opening of the anniversary exhibition I FEEL THE EARTH WHISPER. BIANCA BONDI - JULIAN CHARRIÈRE - SAM FALLS - ERNESTO NETO at the Frieder Burda Museum will be an event for the whole family on the afternoon of June 14, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. There is music and entertainment, which also takes place outside if the weather is good. ENTRY is FREE on this opening afternoon! The artists will be there too! The curators of the anniversary exhibition are Patricia Kamp and Jérôme Sans.  ART - NATURE and SPORT: The opening game between Germany and Scotland in Munich can be seen in the EM LIVE STREAMING following the beautiful afternoon in the Café Kunsthalle. The exhibition will run for a few months: from June 15th to November 3rd, 2024!

20 years of Museum Frieder Burda - I Feel the Earth Whisper

For the 20th anniversary, the curators Patricia Kamp and Jérôme Sans traced the founding of the museum and worked out the ideas of its founder. The architecture of the museum building designed by Richard Meier on the famous Lichtentaler Allee is truly unique. Anyone who strolls through the rooms of the museum will here and there see a view of the outside world, which is reduced to an impression of art in the exhibits. It is an interplay of perception and invites you to view art.

The exhibition I Feel the Earth Whisper focuses perception on the connection between inside and outside, art and architecture, culture and nature! The visitor can understandably feel “wise threads of mythology, cosmology and ecology” in relation to all of our heritage and the future. The “multi-voiced languages ​​of nature” become perceptible.

20 Jahre Museum Frieder Burda - I Feel the Earth Whisper

Zum 20. Jubiläum haben die Kuratoren Patricia Kamp und Jérôme Sans sich auf die Spuren der Gründung des Museums begeben und die Ideen seines Stifters herausgearbeitet. Die Architektur des von Richard Meier entworfenen Museumsbaus in der berühmten Lichtentaler Allee ist wahrlich einzigartig. Wer durch die Räume des Museums flaniert findet hier und da den Blick zur Außenwelt, der in den Exponaten auf einen Kunsteindruck reduziert wird. Es ist ein Wechselspiel der Wahrnehmung und lädt zur Kunstschau ein.

Die Ausstellung I Feel the Earth Whisper konzentriert die Wahrnehmung auf die Verbindung zwischen Innen und Aussen, Kunst und Architektur, Kultur und Natur! Nachvollziehbar kann der Besucher „Weise Fäden der Mythologie, Kosmologie und Ökologie“, in Bezug auf unser aller Erbe und die Zukunft erfühlen. Die „vielstimmigen Sprachen der Natur“ werden wahrnehmbar.

„Anlässlich des 20-jährigen Jubiläums des Museum Frieder Burda würdigt die Ausstellung I Feel the Earth Whisper mit vier bedeutenden Künstlern damit auch den visionären Geist und das bleibende Vermächtnis seines Gründers Frieder Burda – ein Sammler mit Leidenschaft –, der an die verbindende Kraft der Kunst glaubte und durch sie die Verbindung zu den Menschen suchte.
