Munich. Want to really party at the original Oktoberfest in Munich? Then you should book a place to sleep (e.g., at Oktoberfest Camping ((Français, Italiano, English, Deutsch) for €40 per person per night at the temporary camping area or at a hotel, where prices vary) and reserve a table in a festival tent in advance. Anyone wanting to enter the beer tent without a reservation can stay for an hour in the morning – after that, everything is probably reserved!
While a few tables are kept free for Munich residents and walk-ins, there's no room in the evening or for groups. Furthermore, the tents will be closed if they are overcrowded.
