At the cultural stand in the park behind the Wittelsbacherbrunnen you can chill out wonderfully in downtown Munich every day from 12 p.m. from now until September 9, 2024

 

Munich Maximiliansstrand - Munich's second relaxing and cultural beach with music and drinks in the heart of Munich city - this is where you live on vacation!

Munich. Holiday tip for Munich: A sunny day comes to an end and you can relax comfortably in a lounge chair on the beach. The soul dangles with a cool drink and good music. You think you're on the coast, no, you're in the heart of Munich at Lenbachplatz/Maximiliansplatz behind the Wittelsbacherbrunnen. The fountain on Maximiliansplatz, which is romantically lit and decorated with figures, was built between 1893 and 1895 by the sculptor Adolf von Hildebrand. To this day it is one of Munich's most popular photo motifs. Right behind it is the Munich city beach - the ground is currently covered by 26 tons of Caribbean sand. Every day from 12 p.m. you can experience the beach season here with live music, bar service and lots of party fun. By the way: Parallel to the cultural beach on the Isar at Munich's Cornelius Bridge. You live here on vacation!

The park welcomes guests on Maximiliansstrand. Deck chairs, food and drinks allow you to relax here in between. 

When the weather is good, there is a free cultural program every day from 12 p.m.:

• Live music on Wednesdays and Thursdays 
• and electronic music on Fridays and Saturdays.

Where is Maximilian Beach in Munich CITY?

Can usually be reached on foot from Munich city center in 15 minutes (towards Stachus and then towards Lenbachplatz ...

• You can already see the Wittelsbach fountain there
• and hears the music from the beach
• Just behind the fountain is the sandy beach with loungers
• Non-alcoholic, cool and warm drinks await you here  
• Munich beer is available from the Hacker-Pschorr brewery

• Walk from Marienplatz or any other place in Munich's old town to Lenbachplatz

München. Urlaubstipp für München: Ein Sonnentag geht zu Ende und man lässt sich gemütlich in einen Liegestuhl am Strand fallen. Die Seele baumelt bei einem kühlen Getränk und guter Musik. Du denkst, du bist an der Küste, nein, du bist im Herzen Münchens am Lenbachplatz/Maximiliansplatz hinter dem Wittelsbacherbrunnen. Der romantisch ausgeleuchtet und mit Figuren geschmückte Brunnen am Maximiliansplatz wurde übrigens 1893-1895 durch den Bildhauer Adolf von Hildebrand erbaut. Er ist bis heute eines der beliebten Fotomotive Münchens. Gleich dahinter liegt der Münchner Stadtstrand - den Boden bedecken dieser Tage 26 Tonnen Karibiksand. Täglich ab 12 Uhr kann man hier die Strand-Saison mit Live-Musik, Barbetrieb und viel Feierspaß erleben. Übrigens: Parallel zum Kulturstrand an der Isar an der Münchner Corneliusbrücke. Die Parkanlage empfängt die Gäste auf dem Maximiliansstrand. Liegestühle, Speisen und Getränke lassen hier zwischendurch wunderbar entspannen. 

Bei gutem Wetter gibt es täglich ab 12 Uhr ein kostenfreies Kulturprogramm:

• Mittwochs und Donnerstags Live-Musik 
• und Freitags und Samstags elektronische Musik.

Wo liegt der Maximilianstrand in der Münchner CITY?

• Zu Fuß meist nach 15 Minuten von der Münchner Innenstadt aus erreichbar (Richtung Stachus und dann Richtung Lenbachplatz
• dort sieht man schon den Wittelsbacher Brunnen
• und hört die Musik vom Strand
• gleich hinter dem Brunnen liegt der Sandstrand mit den Liegestühlen
• hier warten alkoholfreie, kühle und warme Getränke  
• Münchner Bier gibt's von der Brauerei Hacker-Pschorr
