Off to the vintage car gathering at the Cistercian Monastery of Lehnin in the Margraviate of Brandenburg

September 13-14, 2025 - Classics in the Monastery: The vintage car event for the whole family (Deutsch, English)

Lehnin - Margraviate of Brandenburg. This weekend, vintage car owners will be cruising through the countryside toward Lehnin Monastery for a leisurely weekend. The former Cistercian monastery of Lehnin, founded in 1180 by Margrave Otto I of Brandenburg, offers an ideal setting. While garage owners and vintage car enthusiasts chat about their cars and the expected 1,500 historic cars, classic cars, and motorcycles – from before 1995 – will be on display, there will be a go-kart course, face painting, and a particularly large bouncy castle for the little ones. Food trucks will provide the necessary snacks, as almost 5,000 classic car enthusiasts are expected this weekend.

Accommodation in Lehnin

This year's classic car show will be hosted by Ulf Schulz and Frank Niewar. There will even be live music in front of the zoo on Saturday evening.

And: There's a camping area and overnight accommodations in the monastery or the local hotel.

A camping area for historic campers opens on Friday. Accommodation is available on-site, as well as at the "Gästewesen Zentrum Kloster Lehnin" and the "Hotel Markgraf" in Lehnin.

September 13-14, 2025 - Classic Car Gathering "Classics in the Monastery" - Saturday: 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., Sunday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Brandenburg. Lehnin Cistercian Monastery - for six years, classic cars have been gathering at the monastery. The beautiful ambiance of the Lehnin Cistercian monastery and approximately 1,500 historic vehicles and motorcycles attract 4,800 visitors to Lehnin. There will be a classic car show hosted by Ulf Schulz and Frank Niewar. On Saturday evening, you can relax and chat with locals to live music in front of the historic walls of the beautiful Amtstiergarten. There's a go-kart course for children, and plenty of garage gold for adults! Incidentally, the oldest monastery in the Margraviate of Brandenburg was founded in 1180 by Margrave Otto I of Brandenburg. The classic car event is in full swing... Overnight guests will find a camping area or can sleep in the monastery...

Chrome and metal sparkle their way into the hearts of true classic car fans.

Pre-war classics, everyday classics, and purring engines converge here. The "Classics in the Monastery" classic car event entertains guests of all ages. The latter with the "Children's Paradise" featuring a go-kart course, bouncy castle, and face painting.

Food trucks offer freshly prepared specialties.

Classic car fans will find a true festival atmosphere on the camping meadow.

A special area has also been created for overnight guests in historic campers, buses, or tents – open from Friday!
