Munich on Monday, March 3, 2025. I couldn't believe my eyes today. "CIRCUS KRONE" is back on the Theresienwiese. They are busy building again. In the best weather with 10 degrees and bright sunshine, we went by bike to the Theresienwiese today and there was the huge blue tent of the "CIRCUS KRONE". There are no performance dates yet and ticket sales have not started yet. As soon as we know when which performances are on, we will announce it in the art-culture blog - because the "CIRCUS KRONE" is a Munich institution.

The largest circus tent in the world, the "BLUE DOME" of "CIRCUS KRONE":
the blue roof spans an area of 48 x 64 meters and reaches a dizzying height of 16 meters.

A little circus history
- 120 years ago, in 1905, the "CIRCUS KRONE" was founded by Carl Krone as "Circus Charles"...
- Today, the permanent circus building of the "CIRCUS KRONE" in Zirkus-Krone-Straße/Marsstraße 43 in Munich is internationally known:
- The first Krone building was built here as a wooden structure in 1919;
- since 1962, the circus in Marsstrasse has had a permanent building with 3,000 seats
- ... and the traveling circus with the Blue Dome!!!
And today we found the Blue Dome of the Circus Krone at the foot of the Bavaria
