Theresienwiese in Munich: There's a lot going on here! Circus Krone is giving two shows daily, and the Spring Festival's Ferris wheel already has its gondolas.

CIRCUS KRONE - Theresienwiese in the Blue Dome (Italiano, Deutsch, English)

Munich. In the middle of the Oktoberfest stands the Blue Dome of Circus Krone. The world-famous Munich circus has started its tour under the Bavaria statue. Anyone walking across the Theresienwiese in the afternoon or evening will hear the enthusiasm of the spectators, the music from the world's largest circus tent, and the calls for an "ENCORE!" Right next to the circus, construction of the Munich Spring Festival has begun. The first major folk festival of the year on Munich's Theresienwiese will be celebrated from April 25 to May 11, 2025. After April 21, the Blue Dome of Circus Krone will be quickly dismantled by around 200 helping hands. Yesterday, the Ferris wheel got its gondolas, and the ghost train is already set up. The Bavaria statue, brightly illuminated, looks down on the Theresienwiese with its blue cathedral and Ferris wheel! What a romantic sight!

Op de Theresienwiese wordt de “Blauwe Kathedraal” van “CIRCUS KRONE” gebouwd.

Eindelijk weer een circus op de Theresienwiese (English, Italiano, Deutsch, Nederlands, Français)

 

München op maandag 3 maart 2025. Ik kon mijn ogen vandaag niet geloven. "CIRCUS KRONE" is terug op Theresienwiese. Ze zijn ijverig aan het herbouwen. In het beste weer met 10 graden en stralende zon zijn we vandaag met de fiets naar Theresienwiese gegaan en daar stond de enorme blauwe tent van de "CIRCUS KRONE". Er zijn nog geen speeldata en de kaartverkoop is nog niet gestart. Zodra we weten wanneer welke voorstellingen plaatsvinden, zullen we dit in de kunstcultuurblog bekendmaken - omdat het "CIRCUS KRONE" een instituut uit München is. Op de homepage (circus-krone.com) staat: "De eerste tourdata van 2025 worden hier medio maart 2025 gepubliceerd"!

 Das größte Zirkuszelt der Welt, der "BLAUE DOM" von "CIRCUS KRONE": 

das blaue Dach überspannt eine Fläche von 48 x 64 Metern und erreicht eine schwindelerregende Höhe von 16 Metern.

 Klein circusverhaal

• 120 jaar geleden, in 1905, werd het "CIRCUS KRONE" opgericht door Carl Krone als "Circus Charles".
• Tegenwoordig is het permanente circusgebouw van "CIRCUS KRONE" aan de Zirkus-Krone-Straße/Marsstraße 43 in München internationaal bekend: 
• Al in 1919 werd hier het eerste houten Krone-gebouw gebouwd; 
• Sinds 1962 heeft het circus een permanent gebouw aan de Marsstrasse met 3.000 zitplaatsen 

... en het reizende circus met de Blauwe Kathedraal!!!

Munich on Monday, March 3, 2025. I couldn't believe my eyes today. "CIRCUS KRONE" is back on the Theresienwiese. They are busy building again. In the best weather with 10 degrees and bright sunshine, we went by bike to the Theresienwiese today and there was the huge blue tent of the "CIRCUS KRONE". There are no performance dates yet and ticket sales have not started yet. As soon as we know when which performances are on, we will announce it in the art-culture blog - because the "CIRCUS KRONE" is a Munich institution.

A little circus history
