Solitude Palace in Stuttgart. HOME & GARDEN meets the Legend of Classic Cars - 70 Years of the International Solitude Rally. A lifestyle fair around Solitude Palace in Stuttgart invites you to the classic car show. Twenty historic automobiles, specifically racing cars from the Solitude Rally, will be on display. The magazine "Autobild Klassik," the "Württemberg Automobil Club e.V." (WAC), and the organizers of the "Home & Garden" fair at Solitude Palace itself have focused the attention of classic car enthusiasts on this event. The Solitude Rally was held in Stuttgart around 1960 as the second motorsport event alongside the Solitude Race. In 1955, this international rally started and finished at Solitude Castle for the first time. In 1960, Walter Schock won the Monte Carlo Rally with a Mercedes, and the ADAC Württemberg e. V., together with the Automobile Club du Rhône in Lyon, developed a new, spectacular German-French joint rally: the "Stuttgart-Solitude Lyon-Charbonnières," which was held repeatedly between 1961 and 1972.

Solitude Palace will host the "HOME & GARDEN" trade fair for home and lifestyle from August 14th to 17th

Solitude Palace offers the perfect historical backdrop: the pleasure palace is a delightful place to stroll and enjoy the latest trends and news on lifestyle, gardening, wellness, and home furnishings (all centered around rural living and regionality).

In the garden of the Rococo palace, where Duke Carl Eugen celebrated legendary festivities 250 years ago, more precisely on the green area in front of the palace and in the carriage house, this year's exhibitors will present the latest trends and showcase the sophisticated lifestyle.

Fans of historic automobiles can look forward to a classic car gathering celebrating the 70th anniversary of the international Solitude Rally

Among more than 20 authentic rally cars, such as Kay Rimmele's "Renault Alpine A 110" and Michael Moll's "Porsche 356 T6," this legendary endurance race will be revived.

This year, until Sunday, August 17, 2025, the Solitude Rally will be commemorated. This international endurance race with a whopping 2,000 kilometers, which included locations such as Ostend, Lyon, and Brescia, and which undoubtedly drew inspiration from Monte Carlo—for example, during the drivers' starting line. 

Sunday, August 17: Vintage cars from members of Solitude Revival e. V.

Fine garage gold, meaning even more well-maintained vintage cars, will be presented on Sunday, August 17: The members of Solitude Revival e. V. will be arriving with their classic cars.

• On Friday, August 16: Some rally cars will be out and about.
• Start is at 11:00 a.m. at the Radisson Porsche Design Tower.
• Finish: Schlossallee around 11:30 a.m.

Three historic BMW motorcycles will also be on display, coming from the police museum to the track.

On all four days of the fair, the Baroque Solitude Palace will open its doors exclusively for visitors to the "Home & Garden" exhibition

Explore the former Württemberg hunting and pleasure palace on your own and immerse yourself in the aristocratic world of the 18th century. The palace team will be on site to answer questions about the palace's history. Discovery tours through the original palace halls are included in the fair ticket.

14. bis 17. August 2025 Ausstellung der historischen Rennfahrzeuge der Rallye Solitude - in Erinnerung der Stuttgart-Solitude Lyon-Charbonnières (Deutsch, English, Français)

Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart. HOME & GARDEN meets Mythos Oldtimer – 70 Jahre internationale Rallye Solitude. Eine Lifestyle-Messe rund um das Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart lädt zur Oldtimerschau. Gezeigt werden 20 historische Automobile, genauer gesagt Rennfahrzeuge der Rallye Solitude. Die Zeitschrift „Autobild Klassik“, der „Württembergische Automobil Club e.V.“ (WAC) und die Veranstalter der „Home & Garden“-Messe am Schloss Solitude selbst haben die Aufmerksamkeit von Oldtimer-Enthusiasten auf dieses Event konzentriert. Die Rallye Solitude wurde neben dem Solitude-Rennen bereits um 1960 herum als zweite Motorsportveranstaltung in Stuttgart veranstaltet: im Jahr 1955 diese internationale Rallye ihren Start und Ziel erstmals am Schloss Solitude. 1960 gewann Walter Schock mit Mercedes die Rallye Monte Carlo und der ADAC Württemberg e. V. entwickelte zusammen mit dem Automobil Club du Rhône in Lyon eine neue, spektakuläre deutsch-französische Gemeinschaftsrallye: die „Stuttgart-Solitude Lyon-Charbonnières“, welche zwischen 1961 und 1972 immer wieder ausgetragen wurde.

Schloss Solitude ist vom 14. bis zum 17. August Austragungsort der „HOME & GARDEN“-Messe für Wohnen und Lifestyle

Das Schloss Solitude bietet die perfekte historischen Kulisse: rund um das Lustschloss lässt es sich herrlich flanieren und genießen, wenn aktuelle Trends und News zu Lifestyle, Garten, Wellness und Wohntrends (alles im Zeichen von Landleben und Regionalität) präsentiert werden.

Im Garten des Rokoko Schlosses, wo Herzog Carl Eugen vor 250 Jahren legendäre Feste feierte, genauer gesagt auf der der Grünfläche vor dem Schloss und in der Remise präsentieren die diesjährigen Ausstellerinnen und Aussteller die neusten Trends und laden zur Schau für den gehobenen Lebensstil.

Fans historischer Automobile dürfen sich auf ein Oldtimer-Treffen anlässlich des 70. Jubiläums der internationalen Rallye Solitude freuen

In diesem Jahr wird noch bis Sonntag, den 17. August 2025 an die Rallye Solitude erinnert, eine internationale Langstreckenfahrt mit sage und schreibe 2.000 Kilometern die Orte wie Ostende, Lyon oder Brescia beinhaltete und das Vorbild Monte Carlo - zum Beispiel beim Starterlauf der Rennfahrer - nicht leugnen konnte.

Sonntag, 17. August: Oldtimer der Mitglieder des Solitude Revival e. V.

Feines Garagengold, das heißt noch mehr gepflegte Oldtimer werden am Sonntag, 17. August, präsentiert: Dann fahren die Mitglieder des Solitude Revival e. V. mit ihren Classic Cars vor.

Am Freitag, den 16. August: Ausfahrt einiger Rallyefahrzeuge

• Start ist um 11.00 Uhr am Radisson Porsche Design Tower

• Ziel: Schlossallee gegen 11.30 Uhr

Zu sehen sind dann auch drei historische BMW-Motorrädern, die aus dem Polizei-Museum zur Strecke kommen.

An allen vier Messetagen öffnet sogar das Barock-Schloss Solitude seine Tore exklusiv für die Besucherinnen und Besucher der „Home & Garden“

Auf eigene Faust erkunden sie das ehemalige württembergische Jagd- und Lustschloss und tauchen dabei in die adelige Lebenswelt des 18. Jahrhunderts. Das Schlossteam ist vor Ort und beantwortet Fragen zur Schlossgeschichte. Die Entdeckungstouren durch die originalen Schloss-Säle sind im Messeticket inbegriffen.
