Munich. The houses of the Bavarian State Painting Collections are inviting you to some exciting events in February.  As part of the special exhibition “Rachel Ruysch – Nature into Art”, a film and music enjoyment awaits visitors in the Alte Pinakothek. But the state painting collections also have a lot to offer online for sofa fans: Enjoy art from home? This can be done in various digital formats such as live chats or workshops. FILM SCREENING | A journey into the realm of nature – “The Great Crawling”

A free performance with a short introduction by the curatorial team of the “Rachel Ruysch” exhibition. The fascinating world of insects, plants and flowers comes to life in the film and you experience a microcosm to which the Amsterdam painter Rachel Ruysch dedicated herself in many floral still lifes in the 17th century. After the film screening, you have the opportunity to visit the special exhibition “Rachel Ruysch – Nature into Art” from 4:30 p.m. Art educators can be contacted on site.

"The Dutch recorder virtuoso Erik Bosgraaf has put together a musical bouquet of pieces from her time as a tribute to Rachel Ruysch. The selected works come from Jacob van Eyck, Arcangelo Corelli, Georg Philipp Telemann and Johann Sebastian Bach. Splendor of color and multicoloredness resound in a multi-faceted Program in which the music of the baroque masters unfolds impressively. Finally, Erik Bosgraaf presents the composition “Rachel Ruysch Reimagined,” which he created specifically for this evening.

Before the concert there is the opportunity to take a free tour of the exhibition. In the halls, visitors can talk to our Ciceroni at the “Art Information” and gain exciting insights into the works and works on display."

 "Social hours after work: The jazz label Upstroke Music has designed a special music program for our popular after work series. In the tradition of musette music, baroque melodies can be heard in the exhibition rooms and in the foyer of the Alte Pinakothek, interpreted in a socially acceptable way - sometimes in Trio, sometimes in a duet.

Our Ciceroni accompany the exhibition visit and look forward to an inspiring exchange about the works on display at the “Art Information”. A suitable drink should not be missing here: Garibaldi Munich serves the exclusive wine edition for the exhibition “Rachel Ruysch – Nature into Art” in the foyer.”

acatech on Tuesday: AI meets creativity – film art without borders and without rights?

"Generative AI models can create texts, serve as personal assistance - and are increasingly being used to create design elements, from graphics to short clips for social media. Countless tools are publicly available for this purpose, often even free of charge.
These technological developments are accompanied by a variety of changes: On the one hand, completely new opportunities are opening up for artists to express their creativity. Works can be created much faster and more cost-effectively than before. Especially in film, different art forms such as audio elements and visual components, moving and still images merge.
On the other hand, these developments also raise critical questions: What data was used to train the AI ​​models, and is its origin communicated transparently? What else counts as intellectual property when AI tools are used in the creative process? How are copyrights changing in a world in which AI is increasingly shaping things?

We will address these and other questions in the area of ​​tension between art, AI and copyright using the example of film at acatech on Tuesday in cooperation with the Alte Pinakothek in Munich.

Die Häuser der Bayerischen Staatsgemäldesammlungen laden für den Februar zu einigen spannenden Events.  Im Rahmen der Sonderausstellung „Rachel Ruysch – Nature into Art“ wartet ein  Film und Musikgenuss in der Alten Pinakothek auf die Besucher. Aber auch für Sofa-Fans haben die Staatsgemäldesammlungen einiges Online zu bieten:  Kunst von zu Hause genießen? Das geht in verschiedenen digitalen Formaten wie Live-Chats oder Workshops. Eine kostenfreie Vorstellung mit kurzer Einführung durch das kuratorische Team der „Rachel Ruysch“-Ausstellung. Die faszinierende Welt der Insekten, Pflanzen und Blüten wird im  Film lebendig und man erlebt einen Mikrokosmos, dem sich die Amsterdamer Malerin Rachel Ruysch im 17. Jahrhundert in vielen Blumenstillleben widmete. Im Anschluss an die Filmvorführung besteht ab 16.30 Uhr die Möglichkeit, die Sonderausstellung „Rachel Ruysch – Nature into Art“ zu besuchen. Kunstvermittler sind vor Ort ansprechbar.

"Der niederländische Blockflötenvirtuose Erik Bosgraaf hat als Hommage an Rachel Ruysch einen musikalischen Blumenstrauß aus Stücken ihrer Zeit zusammengestellt. Die ausgewählten Werke stammen von Jacob van Eyck, Arcangelo Corelli, Georg Philipp Telemann bis hin zu Johann Sebastian Bach. Farbenpracht und Vielfarbigkeit erklingen in einem facettenreichen Programm, in dem sich die Musik der barocken Meister eindrucksvoll entfaltet. Zum Abschluss präsentiert Erik Bosgraaf die Komposition „Rachel Ruysch Reimagined“, die er speziell für diesen Abend geschaffen hat.

Vor dem Konzert besteht die Möglichkeit zu einem freien Ausstellungsrundgang. In den Sälen können die Besucher:innen bei der „Kunstauskunft“ mit unseren Ciceroni ins Gespräch kommen und spannende Einblicke in die gezeigten Werke und Arbeiten gewinnen."

 "Gesellige Stunden nach Feierabend: Das Jazz-Label Upstroke Music hat ein besonderes Musikprogramm für unsere beliebte After Work-Reihe gestaltet. In der Tradition der Musette-Musik erklingen in den Ausstellungsräumen und im Foyer der Alten Pinakothek barocke Melodien, salonfähig interpretiert – mal im Trio, mal im Duett.

DIGITAL - Live-Chat - Die Neue Pinakothek. 1854 – 1981 – 2029

"Die Neue Pinakothek in München wurde auf Veranlassung Ludwigs I. von Bayern errichtet und 1854 eröffnet. Als Pendant zur “Älteren Pinakothek” war es das erste Museum für zeitgenössische Kunst auf dem europäischen Kontinent. Dank des legendären Direktors Hugo von Tschudi kamen kurz vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg die noch heute oft bewunderten Werke beispielsweise von Manet, Cézanne und van Gogh hinzu. Im Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde der ursprüngliche Bau vernichtet. 1981 konnte ein Neubau von Alexander Freiherr von Branca eingeweiht werden, der die nun weitgehend abgeschlossene Sammlung als eine weltweit führende Galerie des 19. Jahrhunderts präsentierte, in der im Unterschied zur Alten Pinakothek auch die Skulptur (und inzwischen Fotografie) vertreten ist. Das Gebäude wird zurzeit einer langjährigen Komplettsanierung unterzogen und soll 2029 in neuem Glanz erstrahlen. acatech am Dienstag: KI trifft Kreativität – Filmkunst ohne Grenzen und ohne Rechte?

"Generative KI-Modelle können Texte erstellen, als persönliche Assistenz dienen – und werden immer häufiger auch genutzt, um gestalterische Elemente zu erzeugen, von Grafiken bis hin zu kurzen Clips für Social Media. Unzählige Tools stehen dafür öffentlich zur Verfügung, oft sogar kostenfrei.
Mit diesen technologischen Entwicklungen gehen vielfältige Veränderungen einher: Einerseits eröffnen sich für Kunstschaffende völlig neue Möglichkeiten, ihre Kreativität auszuleben. Werke können deutlich schneller und kostengünstiger geschaffen werden als bisher. Besonders im Film verschmelzen unterschiedliche Kunstformen wie Audioelemente und visuelle Komponenten, Bewegt- und Standbilder.
Andererseits werfen diese Entwicklungen auch kritische Fragen auf: Welche Daten wurden für das Training der KI-Modelle verwendet, und wird deren Ursprung transparent kommuniziert? Was gilt noch als geistiges Eigentum, wenn KI-Tools im kreativen Schaffensprozess eingesetzt werden? Wie verändern sich Urheberrechte in einer Welt, in der KI immer stärker mitgestaltet?

Diesen und weiteren Fragen im Spannungsfeld von Kunst, KI und Urheberrecht widmen wir uns am Beispiel Film bei acatech am Dienstag in Kooperation mit der Alten Pinakothek in München.
