Munich. In addition to the “Godfather of Punk” Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, the “Godmother of Punk” will also perform in Munich in the summer of 2025. The concert will take place on July 14, 2025 and the music arena stage will be roaring when the Patti Smith Quartet sweetens Munich's summer of music with rock, punk and poetry at the Tollwood Summer Festival. - Patti Smith fans were a little worried after news broke that the 78-year-old musician collapsed on stage in São Paulo, Brazil - her doctors said the reason was the severe migraines that plagued Patti. The musician gave the all-clear on the same day and said that she was already feeling better. In Germany, a concert is planned in Berlin on July 11th and the concert here in Munich on July 14th, 2025.

Patti Smith made music history with her debut album “Horses” in 1975
Horses became one of the most influential rock albums and established the singer, who was born in Chicago on December 30, 1946, on the music scene. Her most famous song “Because the Night” is a must at any concert - this classic was written together by Patti Smith and Bruce Springsteen.
As an author, Patti Smith presented her autobiography “Just Kids” a few years ago, for which she was honored with the National Book Award - in it, among other things, she describes her friendship with Robert Mapplethorpe.
