The "Peli International Photo Contest" promotes the outstanding creativity and adventurous spirit of photographers across Europe through its high profile.

Participation period: June 23 to August 31, 2025 (Italiano, English, Deutsch)

Barcelona - Europe-wide competition for photographers. Peli Products is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its legendary international photo competition. The annual photo competition is eagerly awaited internationally every year. The "Peli International Photo Contest" promotes the outstanding creativity and adventurous spirit of photographers across Europe through its high profile. For this year's anniversary year, Peli is announcing exclusive new prizes, which increases the appeal of the competition among photographers.

Categories & Prizes:

• "Professionals" Category: Peli products worth up to €1,500 will be awarded for the "most fascinating shots" – selected by a professional jury.
• "Amateurs" Category: Amateur photographers can win Peli products worth up to €750.

The Peli 20th Anniversary Special Prize

For this special edition, photo submissions featuring a Peli product will be nominated for an exclusive prize.

The three best photos in this category will each receive a Peli 1535 Air Case in a special limited-edition color – a collector's item for photography and Peli fans.

All participants who feature a Peli product in their submitted photo – whether in the amateur or professional category – will automatically be entered into the drawing for the exclusive 20th anniversary prize.

No separate registration is required.

Here are the terms and conditions for entering the Peli Photo Contest:

• From June 23rd to August 31st (both days inclusive),
• participants can submit their entries and compete for great prizes.
• All submissions will be subject to a public vote.

• On September 1st, the five shortlisted photos in each category will be published on Peli's official Instagram account.
• There, the public will select the three best photos in each category by liking them based on their originality, composition, and impact.
• Voting ends on September 15th at 11:59 PM.

The winners will be notified on September 16, 2025.

At the cultural stand in the park behind the Wittelsbacherbrunnen you can chill out wonderfully in downtown Munich every day from 12 p.m. from now until September 9, 2024

 

Munich Maximiliansstrand - Munich's second relaxing and cultural beach with music and drinks in the heart of Munich city - this is where you live on vacation!

Munich. Holiday tip for Munich: A sunny day comes to an end and you can relax comfortably in a lounge chair on the beach. The soul dangles with a cool drink and good music. You think you're on the coast, no, you're in the heart of Munich at Lenbachplatz/Maximiliansplatz behind the Wittelsbacherbrunnen. The fountain on Maximiliansplatz, which is romantically lit and decorated with figures, was built between 1893 and 1895 by the sculptor Adolf von Hildebrand. To this day it is one of Munich's most popular photo motifs. Right behind it is the Munich city beach - the ground is currently covered by 26 tons of Caribbean sand. Every day from 12 p.m. you can experience the beach season here with live music, bar service and lots of party fun. By the way: Parallel to the cultural beach on the Isar at Munich's Cornelius Bridge. You live here on vacation!

When the weather is good, there is a free cultural program every day from 12 p.m.:

Where is Maximilian Beach in Munich CITY?

Can usually be reached on foot from Munich city center in 15 minutes (towards Stachus and then towards Lenbachplatz ...

• You can already see the Wittelsbach fountain there
• and hears the music from the beach
• Just behind the fountain is the sandy beach with loungers
• Non-alcoholic, cool and warm drinks await you here  
• Munich beer is available from the Hacker-Pschorr brewery

• Walk from Marienplatz or any other place in Munich's old town to Lenbachplatz 
• by tram to the “Lenbachplatz” stop 
• From the S-Bahn stop “Karlsplatz/Stachus” you can reach Maximiliansstrand in just a few minutes

Art culture blog: Today we present the click ranking until April 1st, 2024 - (1st to 4th place in the click ranking)

Munich. Art culture blog. Forest Day was an opportunity for us to point out the current actions of the forestry authorities, who are doing everything they can to reforest the forests attacked by bark beetles and the like with mixed forest and thus make them more resistant to future weather events. This article was posted in German and English and immediately landed at number 1 and 4 in March (see links to the articles below). Beech, maple, larch, Douglas fir and many other tree species will grow into mixed forests in our forests in the future ... 2nd place in the click ranking for: The turtle Roberto is a live cuddly toy and experiences adventures in Munich (so far only published in German). A few years ago I wrote this children's book, which I presented again here. It immediately landed in second place among the most read blog articles in March. The 20 colored illustrations complement what they have read and children can retell the story themselves in some comic-like drawings. Another series of children's books from my pen were the three adventures of "Hetti Hexenfee" from Hexenstadt (so far only published in German). I also presented these again in March and immediately took third place among the most read blog articles. :-)) “Does Witch City really exist?” A good question. The answer is: "Yes, in this book and when you read it also in your imagination." That's how it is with books: they expand our imagination and even the impossible becomes possible. Hetti is an imagined character who experiences her adventures in this book.
