Two exhibitions at the Alte Pinakothek in Munich: the current permanent exhibition "Old Masters in Motion" and, starting March 24, the special exhibition "Proud Ostrich and Angry Tiger"

The Alte Pinakothek in Munich's Kunstareal will reopen on Thursday, March 12, 2026, after some construction work (ENGLISH, ITALIANO, FRANÇAIS, DEUTSCH)

Munich. The editorial team received good news today from the Alte Pinakothek: the construction work was completed ahead of schedule – therefore, it will reopen to art lovers on March 12, 2026. The Alte Pinakothek houses more than 700 paintings by famous Old Masters – including works by Albrecht Dürer, Rembrandt, Albrecht Altdorfer, Sandro Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Titian, and Peter Paul Rubens. In over 19 halls and 47 galleries, masterpieces of art history are presented, including in special exhibitions. The exhibition "Proud Ostrich and Furious Tiger" visualizes the development of animal sculpture between 1830 and 1910 ("Stolzer Strauß und wütender Tiger“ wird die Entwicklung der Tierskulptur aus der Zeit von 1830 und 1910), the era in which animals became a free artistic motif. On display are the anatomically precise bronzes of Antoine-Louis Baryes, the sensitive nature studies of Pierre-Jules Mênes, and the strong, clear, and once-modern forms of August Gaul's animal sculptures...

L'Alte Pinakothek nel Kunstareal di Monaco di Baviera riaprirà giovedì 12 marzo 2026, dopo alcuni lavori di ristrutturazione (ENGLISH, ITALIANO, FRANÇAIS, DEUTSCH)

Monaco di Baviera. La redazione ha ricevuto oggi una buona notizia dall'Alte Pinakothek: i lavori di ristrutturazione sono stati completati in anticipo rispetto al previsto, pertanto la riapertura al pubblico è prevista per il 12 marzo 2026. L'Alte Pinakothek ospita oltre 700 dipinti di famosi maestri del passato, tra cui opere di Albrecht Dürer, Rembrandt, Albrecht Altdorfer, Sandro Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Tiziano e Peter Paul Rubens. In oltre 19 sale e 47 gallerie, vengono presentati capolavori della storia dell'arte, anche in mostre speciali. La mostra "Struzzo fiero e tigre furiosa" illustra lo sviluppo della scultura animale tra il 1830 e il 1910 („Stolzer Strauß und wütender Tiger“ wird die Entwicklung der Tierskulptur aus der Zeit von 1830 und 1910), l'epoca in cui gli animali divennero un libero motivo artistico. In mostra i bronzi anatomicamente precisi di Antoine-Louis Baryes, i sensibili studi naturalistici di Pierre-Jules Mênes e le forme forti, chiare e un tempo moderne delle sculture animali di August Gaul...

L'Alte Pinakothek, située au Kunstareal de Munich, rouvrira ses portes le jeudi 12 mars 2026 après des travaux (ENGLISH, ITALIANO, FRANÇAIS, DEUTSCH)

Munich. La rédaction a reçu aujourd'hui une excellente nouvelle de l'Alte Pinakothek : les travaux ont été achevés plus tôt que prévu. L'établissement rouvrira donc ses portes aux amateurs d'art le 12 mars 2026. L'Alte Pinakothek abrite plus de 700 tableaux de grands maîtres anciens, parmi lesquels des œuvres d'Albrecht Dürer, Rembrandt, Albrecht Altdorfer, Sandro Botticelli, Léonard de Vinci, Raphaël, Titien et Pierre Paul Rubens. Plus de 19 salles et 47 galeries présentent des chefs-d'œuvre de l'histoire de l'art, notamment dans le cadre d'expositions temporaires. L’exposition « Autruche fière et Tigre furieux » retrace l’évolution de la sculpture animalière entre 1830 et 1910 („Stolzer Strauß und wütender Tiger“ wird die Entwicklung der Tierskulptur aus der Zeit von 1830 und 1910 ), période où l’animal s’affirme comme un motif artistique libre. On peut y admirer les bronzes d’Antoine-Louis Baryes, d’une précision anatomique remarquable, les études naturalistes empreintes de sensibilité de Pierre-Jules Mênes, ainsi que les formes fortes, nettes et résolument modernes des sculptures animalières d’August Gaul.

Die Alte Pinakothek im Münchner Kunstareal ist nach einigen Baumaßnahmen ab Donnerstag, dem 12. März 2026 wieder geöffnet (ENGLISH, ITALIANO, FRANÇAIS, DEUTSCH)

 

München. Die Redaktion erreicht heute eine gute Nachricht aus der Alten Pinakothek: die baulichen Maßnahmen wurden früher abgeschlossen - daher ist ab dem 12. MÄRZ 2026 für Kunstinteressierte wieder geöffnet. In der Alten Pinakothek finden sich mehr als 700 Gemälde berühmter Alter Meister - darunter Werke von Albrecht Dürer, Rembrandt, Albrecht Altdorfer, Sandro Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffael, Tizian und Peter Paul Rubens. In über 19 Sälen sowie 47 Kabinetten werden die Meisterwerke der Kunstgeschichte unter anderem in Sonderausstellungen - - - Mit dem Titel „Stolzer Strauß und wütender Tiger“ wird die Entwicklung der Tierskulptur aus der Zeit von 1830 und 1910 visualisiert. Es ist die Epoche, welche das Tier zum freien Kunstmotiv wurde. Gezeigt werden die anatomisch präzisen Bronzen Antoine-Louis Baryes, die feinfühligen Naturstudien von Pierre-Jules Mênes und die starken, klaren und einst modernen Formen der Tierskulpturen von August Gaul ...
